Yeah my phone was blowing up last night when this was going on. Having worked for the department as a student, I got an inside look at how ignorant and completely naive college students are. It sounds mean, but I don't have sympathy for students getting robbed on campus, or just off campus, at 3 in the morning. so many people walk alone in the dark on campus with a bullseye on their backs.

I wish I had seen this back in 2013. Although I got my undergraduate and graduate degrees from UM, I won't support the enemy, anyone or anything that supported O'Malley's law. When the next request for money comes, it goes in the bottom of the birdcage, where it belongs.

My niece asked me to get her pepper spray just Tuesday. She says she has some scary walks to class.

Back in July, four people got robbed in one night. Three of them were playing Pokemon Go, so they were on their phones wandering around and not paying attention.

Is that permitted, or must all students be rendered defenseless to avoid discouraging criminals?

    UMCP Code of Student Conduct
The following conduct is subject to disciplinary action:
    ...
Unauthorized on campus or illegal off campus use, possession, or storage of any weapon.
The term “weapon” means any object or substance designed to inflict a wound, cause injury, or incapacitate, including, but not limited to, all firearms, pellet guns, switchblade knives, knives with blades five or more inches in length.

    UMUC Code of Student Conduct
"Weapon" means any object or substance designed or used to inflict a wound, cause injury, or incapacitate, including, but not limited to, all firearms, pellet guns, switchblade knives, knives, and chemicals such as mace products, pepper spray, or tear gas.

Conspicuously absent from the list are hands and feet (bearing arms is thankfully protected by the constitution, but there is no mention of legs):

    Party of Science
According to FBI statistics, rifles of any variety were used in just two of the Bay State’s 779 murders in the past five years, [while] hands and feet were cited as the murder weapon 35 times.

They don't even want female students allowed to carry pepper spray to protect themselves on late night walks to and from classes. Is there any more evidence needed how insane these people are, and this is about disarmament and state dependency and not safety.

The first thing you need to do to get control of people is take their defenses away, make them vulnerable and reliant on you, and be the source of their safety and well-being.

If you want students to accept and believe that there can be a controlled, utopian society, you have to start indoctrinating them on campus, if not before.

Isn't that the official Democratic Party platform?

    If not, it should be.

And better yet, charge 'em tuition for the party indoctrination.

No wonder some think that the slave training should be free for the slaves.
