Hello, everyone. I live in Westminster. I work near BWI.
Based on the current state of things, I decided it was about time to be properly prepared.
My first gun was an SKS that I got back when they were dirt cheap. That one had a weird refinished green wooden stock and shot straight as an arrow. I sold it to Gun Cellar in Union Bridge about ten years ago to help fund a business venture.
When I started looking for a new one, I was shocked at the prices. $800 for a Norinco SKS? Seriously?
I paitently waited and looked around and eventually found a guy in Arnold who had listed a bring-back on GunBroker. I picked that up from him last week and I fired off a couple rounds at the Carroll County dump on Friday. I didn't have much time to shoot, but it was still very satisfying.
At this point, I'm in for the long wait. I got a Taurus PT1911 at On-Target around the same time, so it'll be a few more weeks before that clears.
In the meantime, I'm haunting the aisles at Wal-mart looking for 7.62x39 and trying my best to walk away with more than 3 boxes. (only one time, so far, thanks to a kind fellow who thought he was just shopping for windshield wipers.)
