Stand up and be counted

Those words kept resonating in my head while listening to my husband talk about attending the gun rally in Annapolis on February 6th. So I texted my boss and showed my feelings on the issue by attending that day. As a descendant of one of America's founding families, I felt like it was my duty.

My husband has been a member of this organization, and I just thought that was enough for our family. I had the same thought process regarding the NRA - but no more. I will stand up and be counted!

Great to hear it! My wife is becoming the same way. My kids are still very young but I hope to instill that mindset in them as well.

I have traced my family roots to Dorchester back 350yrs, so I feel much more attached to MD than most and I can sympathize with the feeling that I can't let down my ancestors. I'm sure I'd feel that way even if I didn't have the family history... those men and women of old gave so much for all of us.
