It warms my heart to see a chicken killing varmint dealt with.
I like the CCI Quiet but I mean the segmented. I wonder if that is key for performance.
Velocity is really the key to instant death. It is the hydraulic action in the brain that causes instant shock. Back in the day, I have taken gangsters to the hospital who were shot with .22 zip guns and the bullet just stayed under the skin. (they did have a hell of a headache though:lol2:)

The CCI quiet segmented rounds are 100 FPS faster than what I used @ 710 FPS vs 610.

That could make the difference. I just haven’t seen any on the shelves when I’ve been out. Maybe I’ll just order online.

I always had the impression that the segmented was designed to be more deadly. The bullet is designed to come apart and make several wound channels. I'm not sure why there is a difference in velocity. Maybe bullet weight?

I’ll double check the box when I get home. CCI website says 710 for target Quiet. Maybe I read it wrong.

Edit: yes I was wrong. I had a photo on my phone.

I have found quiets to be stupid quiet out of a rifle. But they are simply not accurate. CCI suppressor are better but still not as good as SV

    Finally, regarding your light setup:

A picatinny 45deg mount and an olight Valkyrie turbo LEP is what you need. Will save you a ton of weight and will shine farther than you can shoot with a .22

This is exactly what I want except I was being a cheap ass. Thanks for the suggestion Boats.
