New XDm Owner

Hey guys, what's up? New XDM 4.5 .40 owner here. I live in White Marsh and will be heading to Freestate this weekend. I bought the gun at The Gun Shop in Essex. It's my second, I used to have a .38 but sold it years ago. With some of the stuff going on around the neighborhood, I thought it best I pick something up for those "just in case" instances.

Anyway, I just found the site and wanted to say hey.

Thanks everyone.

Ok, I gotta ask, what .40 jokes? I really don't know much about handguns, but after speaking to a buddy of mine who just bought an XDM .40 and loved it, I was swayed to that caliber and that gun. It just felt better than the others I held. Is the .40 the red headed stepchild of gun owners? ha ha.

I'll post a pict later and also a range report when I make it over there.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found enough info on the .40 to read for days.

I was thinking something like that, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't to illustrate, say, the balance of the gun, in that it could be balanced on a pen through the guard, or something like that...
