New member in Rockville

Not that new but new enough. I think I joined a couple of weeks ago and have been reading daily ever since. I have always had a respect for firearms and began my collection recently.
However, I do think its scary that the rights regarding the second amendment already become so infringed upon by the state. I've already become a member of MSI and plan on showing up at the state capital next month. I've sent emails to the states legislators and congressmen to voice my disappointment in the their obvious disregard of the rights of law abiding citizens. I hope that as collective group we can continue to remind them of the rights granted to us by the United States Constitution.

Yes we do live in a very anti-gun area. However, I have had quite a few engaging conversations with a couple anti-gun individuals who have sense lessened their demonizing views of firearms. With the help of a friend we were able to get one of them to a range and he is currently shopping around for his very first firearm. My hope is that this kind of civil debate will have a "pay it forward" mentality and he will be able to do the same for others.
Not a member of the NRA yet. I will be by the end of the day.
