Skinner sells front solid brass sights with a brass 3/8 dove tail for henrys. They fit really tight and snug you have to tap them in with a punch. You can install a brass front site cut it down to your needs no welding involved.

I have them on my BHR .500 S&W carbine, the Henry 45/70 and 30/30, and 22, just love skinner Peeps.

Well, this was all about my Henry, that I already own. I did not want to buy another rifle.
As it turns out, the dovetail will get welded up and S&S will thread it and I will be a happy camper.
