    Hello,
I am a new member to the forums, and also a new gun owner. I have been reading the forums anonymously over the past two months as a means of learning about ownership in MD. This site has been very helpful in terms of getting the lay of the land. Looking forward to participating in the future.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks for the links and the welcome.

I actually haven't fired it yet; it being a Ruger SR9c. I have had it for about two weeks, and I have been learning the field stripping and cleaning processes. I have been looking into ranges, and trying to figure out which one would be best for me (indoor/outdoor, big/small, far/or farther - none seem to be down the road from me).

I need to schedule a beginners/safety course soon. I know with whom I will be taking the course, it's just a matter of when given that they teach it outdoors. I am in no rush; I'd rather do things right than rushed.

Excellent. There are several decent indoor ranges like Continental in Timonium and On Target in Severn. There is a good range up here in Carroll County call Hap Baker that is open to the general public. You can always shout out and ask for company if you want a more experienced shooter to go with you.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Glad to see new gun owners who take the time to get training and learn about firearms! I am sure you will be happy with your Ruger.

Welcome...how about a hint about what your name means?
It was an acronym from college, a few years ago, that just stuck as a screen name. It's unique, and it lets people from past lives always find me in one forum or another... which may actually be a bad thing come to think of it.
Note: none of the letters represent swears, which is something most assume when they see "f" in a non-governmental acronym.
