I was about to order 2 of these P64's until I saw this customer image of the "buffed down slide and import mark".

That kinda looks like it was ground, THEN the import mark was applied....

These are all sorts of nonsense. Pass.

I bet they ground off someone else's mark, or they made a mistake ad redid it.

    That looks like strait ass.

With that said, if it was to be used as a knock around gun/carry gun it might be with it.

That's the one you put in your tool box and leave in the garage for emergencies.

I don't think this deserves its own thread, so I'll put it here. If anyone has thoughts on where I might be able to find some nice USGI hand guards for my M1 Garand, please PM me. Thanks.

I dunno, at least it's not a "it's been 3 days and I don't have my HQL, what's happening?!!" thread

You didn't ask 'new' but if used is daunting

Thank you. My issue is that I want to try to match the color as close as I can, and neither Sarco nor Numrich has pictures. I guess I could call and see if they can try to match if I send them a picture of my stock.

I'm still looking at those close-out P64s, wondering if I can justify having a third one around. I got one from Classic at the $220 price, and it's really tempting to grab one more while they're there... (Oh, it would be 3 because I also got one from AIM)

Or should I save the money toward a real Mak, or that .357 I'm always whining about wanting?

Sheesh. This addiction has a life of its own!

Southern Ohio still has a big stash of P64s in very good and excellent condition. The market is currently saturated with P64s so I doubt theirs are selling. I would wait for them to discount their inventory, and during this time, if a desirable 357 or Makarov becomes available, you'll be ready. I don't think you're going to lose out the chance to get a 3rd discounted P64 by waiting.

I would hold off, save a few bucks, and buy a nice one. These are just NOT cheap enough. Plus, avoiding sending any money to the criminals at Classic is always a good thing.

dammit, they (P1/P38) appear to have the huge nasty CAI billboard on the side of the slide.
    No thanks, peace out :)
otherwise that's not a terrible deal.
