Take a look at the pictures below.

The first is a picture of the gun-grabbing president of Marylanders To Prevent Gun Violence, Jen Pauliukonis, who has been stroking checks for the lobbyist in the teal dress (2nd pic) to write the RED FLAG firearms confiscation bill for the Queen of Maryland Gun Haters, Montgomery County Delegate Kathleen Dumais (wearing the Mao-Hillary pantsuit) as both crossed over to the Statehouse today..

This is where the attack on our 2nd Amendment rights is originating from.

The lobbyist is Alice Wilkerson of Public Policy Partners. http://marylandadvocacy.com

In her previous job, Wilkerson was Chief of Staff for Leftist Jaime Raskin when he was in the Maryland legislature. She is a dyed-in-the-wool gun grabber and showcases this stance publicly under the hashtag of "#gunsense" on her Twitter feed.

How did we chance upon Alice Wilkerson in this process? We found her at the witness table explaining HER PERSONAL DRAFT OF THE RED FLAG bill to the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee when we "crashed" the committee's mark-up session.

We say "crashed" because although these mark-up sessions (formally known as "voting sessions") fall under the Open Meetings Act for State Government, our side does not have a history of attending them.

But there was Ms. Wilkerson, going over what she wrote for the Democrat gun haters, line-by-line in open session, with a Patriot Picket team and MSI President Mark Pennak there to witness it.

QUESTION: Why are folks consumed with gun confiscation... writing bills to address medical and mental health issues? Shouldn't the process of getting help to the dangerously mental ill be drafted by MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AND ATTORNEYS SPECIALIZING IN DUE PROCESS PROTECTIONS instead of gun haters?

Legislators turning over bill drafting to lobbyists is not unheard of, with banking lobbyists weighing in on financial regs and lobbyists with medical backgrounds aiding with health laws.

How does the gun-control-loving, former Chief of Staff for one of Maryland's best known Leftist Agitator legislators wind up in the seat to shape a medical and mental health scheme that targets only Marylanders who own firearms?

It happens when the gun-hating Vice Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, Kathleen Dumais, sets her sights on suffocating the 2nd Amendment in Maryland from her Montgomery County base of operations.

This is who we are up against, folks, in the effort to preserve our rights.

And that's one thing I wish all of these idiots with an ounce of common sense, independence, or integrity remaining would just stop and think about. Do they realize how ridiculous an idea this is in practice. You're going to have the police show up at someone's house because they are "sooooo dangerous" they mustn't be allowed to keep their guns. The police will then collect all the guns. And leave. With the "sooooo dangerous person" left at home. Only ten times more upset than they were before the gun squad showed up. And in the small, small minority of cases where they might actually be a threat to themselves or others, surrounded by all kinds of other implements to hurt themselves or others. It's idiotic. It's almost like trying to inflame bad situations. If someone is that potentially dangerous they need to go for a ride to the hospital. We should have a law for that. Oh wait, we already do. But Miller and Dumais don't get headlines for that.

I can't disclose who tipped us off...but Mike Miller was overhead discussing the RED FLAG bill at his District desk on the Senate floor while Senator "Heard on the Street" McFadden was in charge of the floor.

Miller was asked why the didn't just let the RED FLAG die, especially when this 21-page bill has language that is so fractured and tortured. And then there's the fact that our side is tearing the sh*t out of it about all of our constitutional rights being stripped.

Miller's response was "We are not stopping because we got too many votes in it".

    Oh really?

Miller has to know that if the Democrats pass this POS, we will knock the CRAP out of them on social media as enemies of civil rights from now until November! Our scheme is to hurt their Leftist candidates in their primaries and in the General election.

Miller has to wonder if it is worth it to continue trying to lay a veto trap for Governor Hogan. He has to know that the Patriot Picket sidewalk campaign to shame them will not let up because of this targeted attack on our community.

    Great summary.

It's the "if you weren't suicidal before, you might be after we take your guns, no mental health professional needed bill."

Yes, let's ostracize and humiliate a gun owner in front of his/her neighbors, while simultaneously leading the neighbors to think that the gun owner was a potential threat to the community. Maybe someone that was previously just in a rough patch now gets despondent as a result ... perhaps they drive off a bridge after losing their property and being outed as a "psycho" to the community ... perhaps they use a shotgun that the local police didn't know about or find. I'm sure some of this bill's sponsors would still sleep like babies. In fact, they would take it as proof that the police were justified in seizing the firearms as the person was a danger ... ignoring their contribution to ending the person's life.

If the person is such a risk, why not have them involuntarily committed? Doesn't this effectively separate them from their firearms and further prevent them from harming themselves or others?

The Plot thickens at the Democrat Deathstar known as the MGA, as regards, the RED FLAG bill....

This afternoon, the House of Delegates officially messaged the Senate that the House DOES NOT concur with the Senate's amendments to the RED FLAG bill. (There was a chance that the House would simply concur, but it is significant that the House has triggered the need for the House/Senate Reconciliation conference.)

In the announcement, which was heard on the live audio feed around 2pm, the House announced that the House Judiciary Committee delegation to the conference consists of Vice Chair Kathleen Dumais (D) of Montgomery County, senior HJC member Daniel Morhaim (D) of Baltimore County, and the new Washington County Republican Delegate Paul Corderman.

This 2-to-1 ratio of Democrat to Republican is standard, owing to the ratio of the legislature. The Senate reconciliation committee members are expected to be announced Monday morning.

Here is how this handicaps out:

Judiciary Vice Chair Dumais is the driving force behind this RED FLAG bill, despite being "only" one of about 48 sponsors on this bill. Delegate Valentino-Smith is the primary sponsor, but it is clear she is just the front for this operation. Dumais' name was second on the sponsor list, but she's clearly the boss because she rudely controlled the RED FLAG bill hearing while Chairman Joe Vallario was sitting right there next to her.

As noted earlier, Dumais marinates 24/7 in a gun control stew, and as we have seen, looks for every opportunity to infringe, hamper, impede and kneecap Maryland firearm owners. Her presence on this conference is a signal that she wants another shot to demand that the original widespread gun-grabbing schemes that she ordered written into the bill (by way of the MPGV lobbyist drafting it) be RE-INSTATED.

It seems apparent that if the House was in full agreement with the Senate version, the Reconciliation committee members could have been anybody who was available to just wave it though. The presence of Dumais, then, is evidence that a Clash of Titans is brewing. She is still STINGING from the obvious rebuke of having the first 14 pages of her dream RED FLAG proposal TOTALLY SWEPT WHEN IT CAME TIME TO FINALIZE A MARKUP ON THE SENATE SIDE.

Democrat Delegate Dan Morhaim is an emergency room doctor in the "off-season" and his presence is a signal to the MGA that a "health expert" is helping to lock-down the final framework for the Democrats. Morhaim, though, as a doctor, has more grounding in the idea of "best practices" and has supported Republican "good government" ideas in the past.

Republican Delegate Paul Corderman was appointed to the House by Gov. Hogan just prior to this current session to fill the seat vacated by our staunch 2A ally Brett Wilson, who was appointed as a Circuit Court judge. As a new delegate, it appears he likes the job and wants to win another term in the Fall. But his votes this session on the Judiciary Committee demonstrate he is NOT a solid 2A vote.

His vote on the Reconciliation committee will be planting a big flag, and our hope is that flag, you know, Haz Snek on it.

In closing, we have to say this: the amount of heat from Maryland Shall Issue, the Patriot Picket, the Maryland Pistol & Rifle Association, and from Mdshooters correspondents and callers, plus the concentric rings of social media rippling outward--have certainly given Senate Traitor-in-Chief Mike Miller something to think about with the primary elections just months away.

We have given him plenty of evidence that we will hold up a RED FLAG law as a Civil Rights betrayal to all Marylanders right through the mid-term elections. We will raise holy HELL about it. So, there's that.

If Dumais rejects the Senate version because it is only a shadow of the infringement snare that she fantasized about, with Del. Morhaim siding with her, and Del Corderman recognizes the shameful 4th Amendment violations written into the bill and rejects it along with the still-to-be named Senate Republican on the conference, the bill is DEAD.

Yes, seemingly a bridge too far, but one can hope, right?

    More on the conference committee

It should be noted that Delegate Corderman did vote against HB 1302 when the bill received initial House approval on March 15 -- he was one of only 17 delegates to do so. Certainly, gun owners in the Hagerstown area who are concerned with the type of abuses that will predictably flow from either the House or Senate versions of the bill (without significant revisions), should convey their concerns immediately to Mr. Corderman. Keep in mind that there are a great many pieces of legislation moving simultaneously at the end of a legislative session. Delegates must be selective in what they devote their attention to, and constituent contacts help them decide what is most important.

Conferee Dr. Dan Morhaim voted in favor of HB 1302 on March 15. He has a long list of achievements in emergency medicine and in various health policy matters. His contact info:
    e-mail: dan.morhaim@house.state.md.us
    (410) 841-3054, (301) 858-3054

There will also be three senators on the conference committee -- two Democrats and one Republican. They have not yet been named, but it is my expectation that one of the Democrats will be Chairman Robert Zirkin.

The conference committee cannot produce a bill unless at least four of the six members agree on language.

Yup, that's Miller-Ramirez Gang in their clubhouse...

As for targeting us specifically with a RED FLAG takedown, they'd be foolish to try.

As for Ramirez's run for State's Attorney in PG....gum's the word.

As foolish as, say, arresting people legally demonstrating in a public space?

Maryland has a cherished history of restrictions on personal freedoms and civil rights violations. Even before this threatened Third World civil rights violation, Real Clear Politics and CATO Institute already rank Maryland 5th from the bottom in freedom.

"While Maryland's economic restrictions place it firmly in the middle of the pack, its regulations on personal freedom - the harshest in the country - send it spiraling down the list. Residents can still partake in most of the vices of their choosing - namely alcohol and smoking - but they will have a hard time navigating the dramatic gun control, home schooling and gambling laws." https://www.realclearpolitics.com/lists/freest-least-free-states/new-york.html?state=play

    CATO Institute: https://www.freedominthe50states.org/

That is damning, Rep. Dumais and Sen. Miller. How much "harsh regulation" of Marylanders' personal freedoms does it take to create a Utopia?

You are already the harshest in the nation.

    Way Beyond "Enough"!!!

Where the hell are the people of Maryland on this issue?

I try to get people involved in it and I hear crickets!!!

I went to testify at the Senate Judicial Proceedings Hearing on this and very, very few people were there to testify AGAINST the Bill.

How can Larry H. even CONSIDER signing this POS?? But I am told he is all over it???

    Wake up People!!!!!

There is custom and protocol in the background of all this.

In the House, (according my highly placed MGA source) it is the custom of the House Speaker to choose the 2 Democrats as well as the Republican on these Reconciliation conferences.

The choice of first time delegate Paul Corderman is curious because HE VOTED AGAINST the Red Flag bill back in committee and the custom is that NO votes are not candidates for these conferences.

On the Senate side, it is the custom for the committee chairs—not the Senate President— to choose the conferees. That custom indeed tips the scales toward SJPR chair Bobby Zirkin leading the Senate conferees.

Figured we could use a little boost in morale.

Feast yo eyes on dis: Texas Moms Demand Action President Charged for Accosting Teen Girls. Not content to let the gun control and hardcore anti-Donald Trump communities’ hateful rhetoric be relegated to the internet, print media, television, and protests, prominent Texas Moms Demand Action President Kellye Burke decided she would take direct action against her political adversaries – by allegedly berating some teenage girls in a bakery.

This mess could not be any more convoluted if they tried. I no longer wonder why Maryland ranks 46 out of 50 for personal freedom. What a bunch of loosers!

FIRST USE OF FLORIDA'S NEW RED FLAG LAW CREATES THE NIGHTMARE MANY HAVE WARNED US ABOUT!

    http://thefreethoughtproject.com/ki...-student-accused-of-planning-school-shooting/

A smack-talking University of Central Florida student's life has been ruined after police phony up a petition to put the student into a mental ward for evaluation and confiscate a pistol locked in the safe of the student's father--all in the midst of a heavy handed and, apparently, unlawful targeting of the family.

It was the first use of the Risk Protection Order (RPO) signed into law by Florida Governor Rick Scott, and came after the law had been in effect for only 7 days.

In a story published just today (Saturday) by The Free Thought Project (and with parallel reporting in the Orlando Sentinel) 21-year old UCF student Chris Velazquez was kidnapped by police and put into a locked psych ward for a weekend based on alleged false declarations by police, who appeared in a rush to proclaim they had intervened to stop what they said was a mass shooter prepping to attack.

All this, based on anonymous posts to the REDDIT online chat site where Velazquez is said to have commented on mass shooters in a fashion that his family describes as in keeping with many of the snarky and edgy Black Humor posts that are a signature feature of the REDDIT site.

For posting three comments online, Velasquez had his freedom temporarily taken away, was forced to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, and was later told not to return to UCF, an action known as being “trespassed.” He is still a student at the university but now is the focus of a campus-based investigation to determine whether he will be allowed back on campus. UCF is determining if Velasquez broke the university’s code of conduct—simply for exercising his rights to free speech in a public forum and using a fake name.

The Orlando Sentinel obtained the original petition for an RPO against Velasquez. Orlando Police Sgt. Matthew Ochiuzzo wrote in the petition, “Due to the respondent’s admissions of detailed homicidal ideation, your petitioner is gravely concerned that a real or perceived life event could unpredictably cause your respondent to obtain a firearm and commit a mass shooting.”

The temporary RPO was granted but a subsequent review by the same judge who signed it found there was no probable cause to allow for a permanent RPO that would last for one year.

The family has since hired a lawyer who claims UCF police coerced comments out of Velasquez. According to a report from the Orlando Sentinel, Kendra Parris, attorney for the Velasquez family, described Velasquez’ treatment by police as “shameful.”

“Officer [Jeffrey] Panter took a handful of online comments—none of which was an actual threat—from a forum in which people are known to troll and act like ‘edgelords,’” she said. Parris also used the term “coercive” to describe how police arrived at the conclusion her client had “homicidal ideations.”

Predictably, police praised their actions as having been able to further protect the community. UCF Police Department spokeswoman Courtney Gilmartin issued a statement in which she said, “We should all sleep easier at night knowing that a firearm was removed from his household and that he is barred from purchasing any others.” That statement is only partially true. Velasquez did not own a weapon and the only gun taken belonged to his father, leaving the rest of the Velasquez family entirely defenseless and unable to protect themselves against home intruders or criminals who may target them.

“There is a long list of jurisprudence which constitutes a threat,” Parris told The Free Thought Project in an exclusive interview. After being forced to spend the weekend in a mental health facility, doctors also concluded Velasquez posed “no threat to anyone.” Parris said her client was engaged in “constitutionally protected free speech.”

“There’s another thing that is absolutely bonkers about this, anybody can buy a gun in a private sale in this state. This law is not stopping anybody from purchasing a firearm. What it did do was trample on my client’s constitutional rights,” Parris said, noting that her client was simply a victim of the “thought police.”
