Sorry - I know it's a pretty negative outlook, but after being beaten time after time in recent years, I think it's only going to get worse - we've come to the point in this nation's history where the Constitution no longer protects us from tyranny - not when it's blatantly ignored, and obvious egregious election fraud gets swept under the rug as if it never happened.

I got no words of encouragement for you. This stuff going on has been in the making for decades in this country and we have let it happen right in front of us. Slowly and methodically they have been chipping away and seems some folks are just waking up to the fact.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but man, I'm feeling it today especially.

On the heels of the incoming administration flexing it's new found muscles on 80%s and stabilizing braces, I shudder to think what is going to be ramrodded through once the fix is in on the GA elections.

Add to that, what I fear is going to be a banner year for tyranny in Annapolis (we are already 99% sure we are going to loose our ability to privately transfer long guns within a day or two of the MGA session beginning, as soon as they overturn the veto)...

Dark days ahead, my friends. On a positive note, I'm almost to the point of not caring and living my life as a free man. It may be a shortened life, but that's where we are.

Get use to losing in the court.. here's my prediction..
    1) both Georgia Senate seats are lost due to election fraud..
    2) one of the first bills passed stacks the court with 4 new far left justices
    3) DC and Puerto Rico are given statehood. This gives the senate four additional left-wing senators and the house several new left-wing representatives.
    4) every challenge to gun control laws currently in the courts are denied a hearing in the supreme Court.
    5) a flood of extreme gun control laws are passed banning possession of nearly everything semi-automatic, many types of optics on hunting guns, silencers, and concealed carry.
    6) all are challenged, none are heard. The new and "improved" court even strikes down Heller. You are no longer have a right to keep a gun in your home. Many states, including Maryland make it a felony to use a gun to defend your home.
    7) most gun owners stand in line for hours to hand over their now illegal guns .. because being law abiding is more important than your rights and freedom.

Extreme prediction? Maybe..but anyone with a brain realizes that gun control has nothing to do with public safety..the left knows they cannot turn the country into a socialist or communist society while a large portion of the population is well armed...

I think most of that is right. We are blowing the Georgia race by fighting the last battle (the general) while the other side has been working on Georgia. so I don't think they need massive fraud. They need to know how to work absentee ballots better than we do, mail in ballots better than we do and get out the vote better than we do --- oops, they already do. That is a very tight race and the whole enchilada as to whether Biden and Warren created revolutionary change is in the balance

DC statehood is definitely on the table and could be done early and quickly. We from this region know the irony. There is no set of 700,000 citizens more enfranchised and wielding more power over the rest of the electorate than DC's legions of government workers, bureaucrats, revolving door lobbyists, people working at the myriad of union, industry trade associations, other adovacy group associations and think tanks here.

I've lived quite a while, and heard quite a few lies and seen some perverse stuff: But there is nothing I have seen in my life more ironic, more perverse and more directly out of 1984 big lie, than the implication that we are not represented with that asinine "taxation without representation" on my license plate. My neighbor in DC works at NAE headquarters, she is not even an executive but she decides more about your kids' education than an 10,000 voters in Oregon or NJ. My barber, who isn't even a US citizen, was talking federal covid policy and what he wanted with the legislative director of a US senator as I waited to get my haircut last week. My rolodex alone from my first job here is probably worth thousands of the votes of the plebs outside of DC

But it will be the most permanently guaranteed two senate seats ever so they will go for it.

The swamp runs everything, and now they want a vote too.

They absolutely will attempt to expand the court. Let's not forget that the first modern era refusal of a 100% qualified justice was Robert Bork. It is a major political strategy. They set up the most absurd set of lies and double standards of proof with Kavanaugh, called what we know know is a 100% innocent guy a rapist. That wasn't merely to attempt to block him. Together with their bizarre assertion that somehow a Senate majority, which the CONSTITION says decides, was irrelevant in the case of Garland?

It got even better: some how, and this was repeated in the press endlessly at A GOP President, and a GOP majority Senate, could not legitimately decide on replacement for Ginsburg -- get this, because she would not have approved! (Lol so if Clarence Thomas dies in the next four years, Biden has to pick someone Clarence would have approved of?) I half expected the Dems to march in Ginsburg's corpse with a ventriloquist. Or at the very least pull out a Ouija board during those hearings

The point is they intentionally did everything possible to portray the court as illegitimate. If your kid is in high school their US government or civic teacher is not telling them about the Constitution, branches of govnrerment, checks and balances -- but about how the supreme court has been turned into a fascist, rapist, illegitimate vestige of Trump. Even though two of Trump's three picks were in-kind replacement of GOP retirees with GOP appointments. Trump moved the court exactly one seat from Dem to GOP and they act as if Trump completely and comprehensively upended the court.

So they have to "correct" three illegitimate appointments:
    1. GOP majority had no right to block Garland (lol, US constitution says otherwise, but who cares)
    2. Second guy is a rapist because people lying say so. If rape mudslinging doesn't work, then he committed the extreme offense of drinking a beer when in high school (while Kamala Harris giving a BJs to a government official to get a two concurrent high paying essentially "no show" government job's from him, is unfair to mention).
    3. Ginsburg's corpse would have disapproved, and dead justices pick their successors according to twitter.

I think that the Government is so inept that there's no way they are going to be able to accomplish even half of that in any kind of short timeframe - not even in 50 years.

I feel pretty good today. Groups of people all over the country are defying federal laws, and because they have numbers, they are left alone. I wasn't really a hardcore gun guy until this year, even tho I've owned them for a long time.

The gun has become a symbol in my life. It gives me a false sense of security. Like I have the ability to chart my own path in life, or be a defender of freedom, or my family's keeper. It is probably none of these things, but in 2020 I've seen the facade of USA being a peaceful society, cops will protect you, politicians are competent and are looking out for the greater good...

So many things have been exposed this year and anyone willing to turn their arms now is a damn fool. If nobody complies, what are they going to do?

I have been feeling the same way but always feel better when I realize I am not longer complying with their BS. A weight is lifted off my shoulders when I remember that. I will connect with like minded individuals as needed.

    If you're willing to read a little, I do not think all is lost;

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/dec/15/gerrymandering-republicans-map-charts-states

Some of you are sounding like the left when Trump won. Screaming that people would be put in concentration camps, no more abortions, etc.

Your maybe as over optimistic as some are pessimistic. While the article is essentially correct you can not bring any proof to bear that Republicans have the nerve to use it to their advantage. Their relationship to the media and the Democrats is very much like Charlie Brown to Lucy with the football.

The Left plays to win and is not the least bit worried about how there are perceived by the right.

The issue of judicial pics just underscores this. The concept of Originalism is a passive defense against people who have no more interest in the rule of law as a neutral arbiter than a terrorist has any interest in non violent political persuasion.

Their response to the last Scotus appointment. We will just pack the court so it doesn't matter who or how many you appoint. The left understands Western post modern politics as a war to the death life and death struggle and the right treats it like a boxing match and is constantly bewildered when they refuse to play by the rules or just change the rules at whim because they can.

It does not matter whether you consider the left your enemy, they consider you their enemy and they will treat you accordingly.

    This:

That righteous leftist world view. Why can’t they leave the great unwashed masses alone? Why can’t they stay out of fly-over country? Why can’t they leave us clinging to our guns and religion? Why do they make symbolic totems and words that must be subscribed to and given allegiance to show conformity (“Latynx”) or you’re ostracized? It is Marxism at heart.
