On Monday I went to a public range with my wife. I don't really want to name the range because it's not their fault and there isn't much they could do about it. After shooting we left and stopped by a store in Dunkirk on our way home. I came out of the store to the beautiful sight of 2 Calvert County sheriffs cruisers behind my truck. I had been followed from the range and had my handgun stolen. Looking back I should have paid more attention to my surroundings. The idiots smashed my window with a tire iron and stole only the bag the gun was in. I'm out the cost of the gun plus $500 for my auto deductible. When they smashed the window they were nice enough to tear up the door and window track as well. Instead of a $50 used window I need a bunch of bodywork to fix it. Auto won't cover the gun and my homeowners deductible is too high for them to do anything. I'm in the process of jumping through all the hoops to get my HQL now so I can get it replaced. I just want to encourage everyone to keep your head on a swivel and don't get complacent like me! Thankfully I did stop and they didn't follow me home and no one got hurt.
