Thankfully even though Florida is the sixth borough of NYC the state is turning more red with every election. DeSantis actually carried Miami-Dade last time.

If it weren't for the topography, perpetual rain every summer day and hurricanes that is where I would be re-locating. Tennessee FTW.

Florida seems to go through phases. Very transitory. It would be advantageous for Florida if the country would settle down a bit. Otherwise, Florida will continue to see a migration inward.
I will seek my future residency in the mid-eastern US as well.

Most horse people go to FL for the winter show series. Wellington and Ocala. FL residents with empty homes and farms here in which I stay. They leave FL for the summer, too hot. A lot of my marine industry friends work there for the winter but wouldn't stay the summer for anything due to the heat! ?

Southwest Florida is as blue as anywhere in the country. Miami-Dade has a Republican mayor, which is incredible. Palm Beach and Ft. Liquordale are another story.

From the news bits we are hearing in Florida, the proposed law doesn’t seem to include any provisions for open carry. Concealed carry only. All other particulars are still being negotiated.
I hate to sound pessimistic but we got this far before only to have the bill die.
