  • The excellent thread entitled "Purchases You Have Regretted" got me to realize that my biggest firearm related regrets relate to things I didn't buy and wished I had. I've never sold a gun but I'll bet people have regrets about that too.

    I'll start things off:

Back in the early 80's I wish I had gotten that beautiful stainless Colt Python that seemed to be calling to me at the gunshop instead of going to Vegas with Tammy.

In the 80's a Steyr AUG for $600, NEW.

Figured I would get it later. Then they banned the import of them. :(

Too many to list. but one really bothered me for a time. Around 2001 the was a stone mint Walther PPK a seller wanted $800. Early war high polish. Kicked myself a long time for not picking that up.

Polytech Legend I saw at a local shop for $1600. It was a few years ago, and I thought it was too much money...now I wish I had jumped on it. Another one was the Uzi Clandestine sold on here, that was a nice looking gun.

I had to sell a Glock 17 that I owned for a month to pay for a car repair....it was either that or the 1911.

The Glock went. I want another one.

Smith & Wesson Model 19 .357 Magnum with very nice rubber grips. Was a gift from my dad, and I let my (now ex) wife convince me to get rid of it.

I will probably regret - in the future - not buying an AR-15, when I could.

Right now I have so many various firearms and not enough time.

I can hunt small, medium and large game.

I can defend and target shoot and plink to my hearts desire.

    I can customize into oblivion-swap barrels-cylinders-grips-stocks-recoil pads-scopes - on and on.

But you know no single platform has the flexibility of the AR-15.

O'K I might cave and buy a lower

Buy it buy it buy it. Especially with lowers available for 150 or less at the moment
