Options..... First laugh of the new week right there!

Options... call ATF and nicely ask to be updated. If they say its processing, your option is to wait. If its not received by them, resubmit. Pretty much all your options! :)

Just an FYI, 5 months is nothing. Let me know when you pass a year! Then it will start getting ridiculous.
I'll tell you who laughs, it's the rifle owners in the UK that can by a suppressor cash and carry (provided they are licensed in that caliber). Pretty sad when Socialist Europe actually makes suppressors more widely available than we do. I'm sure they are having a good laugh.

One year for an eForm 1? Sure you don't mean paper form 1? Who do you know that had to wait one year for an eForm 1?

I think my longest form 1 was a 9, closer to 10 months. It was killing me as I had the MG but could not reactivate it until the paperwork came in! Yes a paper, individual. Its been a few years but it was taking forever! Got the gun on a form 5, dewat tax free. Then had the gun for months waiting for the form 1 to process so I could reactivate it. My last form 1, I submitted at the same time as a form 5 and it only took a week longer than the form 5 which was super fast at like 2.5 months! It came so quick I had not even really started wanting it yet! I was expecting a 9 month wait.

The ATF just had many times the yearly amount of form 1s just get dropped on them, efile or not. I had two Form 1s go in on May 19th with e-fingerprints. Nothing yet. I will start taking notice around Christmas... and even then I will probably not call for at least a year. Best thing is to sit back and forget it ever went in. I had to go check on mine from May as I could not remember the month they even went in. However I don't know anything with the ATF form 1s is going to follow the normal time lines. Frankly, people were talking about them taking years to process all the extras going in from the brace ban. I am going to bet that near a half million additional form 1s went in this year. Even if they just check approve to each, its going to take a long time. I am not saying its going to take a year, I am saying we really don't have a good idea how long its going to take. It stands to reason that most waiting to near the end to submit the form 1 on the pistol brace rule. So the times should go up pretty quickly the closer you get to that date as the applications probably really jumped at the end.

Unfortunately, there is pretty much nothing to do that will not just ultimately slow down the entire process for everyone. If you call and they say its processing, thats it... time to wait. People do all sorts of stuff but all that does it take more ATF time to deal with people and less time to process forms.

I'll tell you who laughs, it's the rifle owners in the UK that can by a suppressor cash and carry (provided they are licensed in that caliber). Pretty sad when Socialist Europe actually makes suppressors more widely available than we do. I'm sure they are having a good laugh.

With suppressors, sure but you would not want to trade them for the firearm restrictions.

Not to be condescending to those waiting for only 1 stamp, I received my 2 SBR approved eForm 1s back in email today! The guy I work with who submitted one a few days before me did not get his yet. Submitted 5/19.

LOL! I've got two in progress now (one for a can and one for an SBR). Does that make me one of the cool kids?

I got my e-Form 1 approved yesterday (08/01/2023). I filed it on 05/23/2023, so it took a little over 2 months. This was for attaching a brace to a CZ Scorpion.

Yeah, my first Form 1 from last year was 11 days (10/27-11/7). My 2nd one ("amnesty") a little longer (1/14-3/16). My latest "regular" Form 1 is still pending. I submitted on 2/13, and nothing. I messaged them through the website, and no reply. Anyone have an idea of who to email directly?

You could try calling them. But my guess is all the amnesty form 1s were stacked on top of your regular form 1

Got my eform1 approval today. Well, that only took 5 months and a week. I wouldn't even had submitted it in the first place but with 2 Feds in the family, it was appropriate.

Ok. I said it before. When are you going to take the advice I'm giving?

Call your congress critter! Let them slap the ATF around for you. The ATF doesn't like it when a elected official starts questioning them on why a constituent is getting shafted. TRUST ME.
    Yep - doing it.
[EDIT] Done - request sent to my rep in congress.

Thank you for finally listening. You'll get more traction by doing it. If I was in your shoes, I'd have had the congress critter get involved around month 4.

Do you have a suggested "form" letter? I'm still waiting on a Form 1 I submitted in March. I have a hard time believing just about ANY rep in this state would vouch for ANYTHING 2A related, so I'm curious how you'd word a letter to them when we're all pretty much seen as persona non grata.

I didn't write, I picked up the phone and got in touch with Raskin's office. They were very eager to have the congressman get involved. He did get involved and about a week after that I was approved for all of my stamps.
