I’ve had this off the shelf (read inexpensive) pellet rifle for almost two years now…it’s a Wally World special Crosman Shockwave .22 that I have spent little time with. The “two stage” trigger is laughable but the real thorn in the side was the lack of usable irons and a plastic scope that flat out didn’t work. I took advantage of a Black Friday deal and have a Vortex Vanquish 3-9 and some rings coming for under $100! Usually the scope alone is a $200 item. For pellet rifle purposes, this will cover the bill.
I truly don’t think there is hope for the trigger more then learning it. My recollection…long semi un-predictable mush through a stiff first stage. No discernible push through the wall for that first stage other than a squishy pressure that you can sometimes miss entirely and break a shot a smidge too soon. Oh well. I need something to do in the backyard as it gets cooler and my activities get closer to home.
If I have any progress, learned behavior, or insights, I will be sure to share.
