CMP Just Allowed a Second 1911

This is my round 3 field grade, just hit the gun store today. Its a 1939 colt frame and colt slide. It is a navy gun straight from the factory, which being a navy guy is cool.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good 1911 - I just don’t want to roll the dice on a CMP 1911.

The way I look at it, a CMP 1911 with documentation is an investment. A CD you can take to the range.

I got the call today.
I was # 42293. They had three grades available.
I requested a Service Grade. Should be here (FFL) in a few days.
