Written warning. I remember about 2 years ago MSI advising against open holsters in public after a member was detained and had his car searched "for the gun". I used to wear a holster full of MSI pamphlets and my ask me about my empty holster shirt. When I do it now I use a Roy Rogers fry holster so I don't scare anyone.

Agreed. So, what happened to the naked sheep wearing the empty holster? Did it get lambasted? Or was it just a baad situation that was clipped before anybody bleated for mercy? Sorry, just bustin' your chops.

Western Maryland farmers have found a new use for sheep..... WOOL!!!

    Who's yer DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDYYYYYY???

    1. Why would someone wear and empty holster?

    2. Who goes to the Hagerstown mall anymore?

If I saw someone with an empty holster I would tell them their pistol fell out. Then they would tell me the real reason. Then I would call them stupid. Especially if in a bank.

Is this what he is referring to..... It's an old story

    http://articles.herald-mail.com/2011-05-18/news/29558806_1_police-gear-gunter-last-year-probation

I started my LE career in Washington County back in the 90's and have since moved on..... I got some crazy calls about dogs pooping on sidewalks, horses running loose, etc --- never an empty holster complaint. If the case cited above isn't the one your "friend" is referring to than it most likely is more to it than just wearing an empty holster. Parts of Washington County are ass backwards --- maybe he was wearing it while being naked with a sheep.

Wow, only in Maryland and other socialist enclaves could you get charged with wearing something like that. I could see if the guy was presenting himself to others as an officer of the law, but just wearing a bullet resistant vest, handcuffs and an empty holster getting you arrested is BS.

This thread has more ******** in it then one of Obama's speeches about Benghazi.

Find me the real story or some actual facts and then start a thread.

So whats the deal ???? this struck my interest because I don't take my holster off going to and coming home from work ... I just unload and secure my firearm in a compact Lock box that rides in my Back pack in the trunk. then when I get home I load it back up and holster it. it is a relatively concealed holster.

Is there any issue to this ???? I thought I was following the law and don't want to be caught doing anything but following it.

if any Officers read this and could PM me that would be fantastic.

    thanks.
