Correct. Not needed for any other caliber. No citation.

Trust me. I’m from the internet, I’m here to help.

I know heavy barrels are required for 5.556/.223. Are they truly not required for non-5.556/.223? Is there a state citation?
I'm not good at looking up laws and such. There are people here who have that stuff memorized.

Suffice it to say, only 5.56/.223/.223 Wilde(really all the same calibers) apply to the heavy barrel rule.

It's your money. BC can be hit or miss, quality wise, but I think they have decent customer service. I don't shoot that caliber, but have read where people have had reliability problems, even with higher quality manufacturers with this round. That's all I got for ya.

BCA is a last resort. Trust me I attempted other alternatives. PLA for instance will only sell me a heavy barrel. And gun broker ("The eBay of guns" lmao) does like to sell guns at all. I swear they had the beginning bid price at $499 and the buy price at $550. I like what is the point of the bid lol. I am going to do post on them with receipts (screenshots) soon enough. I did buy a lower from a gunshop so I avoided the transfer fee. In the future, when I have more money, I will get another upper. This barrel profile makes looking for a complete upper more difficult than it is.

MD only cares about military clones and basically anything seen in 80’s action movies

Werent no such thing as .300 Black or 6.5 Grendel yet so those are fine

Dont we all feel so much safer.
