I still don't know the answer to this question.

If I have a lower and a brace, but no pistol upper, can I take advantage of the SBR amnesty?

I would think there are a lot of pre 1/31/23 home built pistols that will be submitted on the tax free form 1. The only record of those pistols is the lower that was bought pre 1/31/23

Do you own rifles? If so, the ATF can't claim constructive intent because you could have always intended to put them on a rifle (the ATF is claiming they are stocks afterall...).
Yes but I also have a brace for a POF-5 (mp5 clone) that really couldn’t go on anything else.

It's going to be interesting to see if the ATF actually tries to bring anyone to court over the new brace=sbr nonsense. I think everyone knows they won't be able to find off a challenge in the courts.

Well, all they need to do is look back to their list of people who posted “how to have an SBR without a tax stamp” videos on YouTube and then go knock on their doors to see if they still have them. Not a lot of work on their end.

Do you envision no knock warrants in the middle of the night? Should I send my dog to my brothers for safe keeping?

Goetz has been hammering the ATF lately. It has been amusing to watch. Unfortunately it is all for show no matter how many laws they break or nonsensical regulations they throw at us.

I'm guessing I should grab a free stamp, is it as easy as filing a form 1? extra box to check? Yes, have done stamps before, just curious.

I didn’t want to cave, but given the political climate it seems no matter how many lawsuits, it could take years to sort out. Thinking I might register a couple just to be safe.
