I just checked Informed Delivery and my permit is at the post office and will be delivered tomorrow!!!!! 8 Days after approval

What day were you approved? I'm a 23rd still waiting for permit

Not expecting them to. But if I can provide proof I have a Federal clearance which is much more detailed than what they go through, that should be enough. That's the problem with all this crap with the inefficiencies which are totally unnecessary.

The clearances are quite immaterial. Obtaining the W&C permit is a RIGHT. If you are able to purchase a firearm, attend the training, pass the shooting course and pay the fee, you MUST be issued a permit. A security clearance is not a right and be denied for subjective reasons.

Not sure if the CJIS date matters much, but here's my progress so far:

Shortages/resubmit: 8/10
Accepted: 8/19
CJIS letter dated 9/21, arrived in mail: 9/29
NICS: waiting
Approval: waiting

Hoping for NICS next week. Seems like it should be soon.

Same here. 9/23 approval, no permit coming in today's mail.

Clearances has ZERO effect on WC in MD. The MSP has no access to them. As a matter of fact, when TS was G&S, you have to get a letter from your FSO/SSO stating you had a clearance and you had access to sensitive material.

Usually your next day's mail is posted to their website around 2000-2100-ish.
