I do not understand your formula. Are you saying they're about to slow way down? What is this multiplying by three?

8/4 to today is 54 days, or about 7 1/2 weeks. If they keep that rate, someone who's accepted today will get their permit in perhaps 8 weeks or so, around mid-November.

But who knows if they'll speed up or slow down? Perhaps the bulk of the initial rush to apply is winding down, allowing them to start processing more quickly. Or perhaps they'll decide to milk it out...
My formula is based as shown here:
    https://www.mdshooters.com/threads/application-progress-tracking-thread.266788/page-326#post-6811912

Back when Boondock Saint was crunching the numbers I did a similar exercise using the data shown in his charts and came up with a similar number of about three days of approvals to clear one day of acceptances as shown here:

At that time I noticed something that I dubbed the "Inflation Factor" which was the rate the MSP was falling behind with each additional day they processed. The increase is because the graphs showed an increasing trend as the MSP fell further behind and was an attempt to account for that. This is the calculation at that time for the "Inflation Factor":

    Boondock Saint's post referenced above:

We no longer have a number cruncher of Boondock Saint's quality providing graphs and data anaylsis, and the member who volunteered to take over has seemed to have dropped the ball so any of you data junkies who wants to can step into the breach and start posting any time you want. Until then you have my simple efforts to use or ignore as you see fit.

FYI. Called msp for eta on permit and was told 2-3weeks from approval date.

i mean, that assertion is demonstrably false. 8/10 approved here. It's... 9/28.
I think we're getting accepted and approved mixed up here. There is no way anybody got a permit 3 weeks after accepted date.
If they are talking receiving the actual card, 3 weeks after approval is ridiculously long. Mine was approved on a Tuesday and my card was in my mailbox that Saturday.
I'm thinking 1 week from approval to having the card is a fair estimate.

What?? That made no sense or I misunderstood it.
    2-3 weeks from approval??
Sorry I am referring to the time it will take to be mailed out after approval. Submitted 7/24
    Accepted 8/3
    Nics9/3
    Approval 9/20
    Cjis received in mail 9/27
Called msp asking about license in the mail time frame and was told 2-3 weeks after approval.

That was my thinking also I waited 8 days before calling.

This is the first we have seen of multiple accept dates being approved simultaneously so possibly it reflects a change in procedures at MSP. We will have to wait and see what shakes out.

IMPORTANT since things may be changing PLEASE post your new data over in the Data Tracking thread be sure to post it completely (include each of your data points and numbers), post it accurately, and post it when it happens.
