Pman is setting himself up well for post public service life, he’ll go full retard to keep his status with the big $ constituents, like having grey poupon in your glove compartment, gun laws are a must have ... to be in the club. Hang on to your butts.

Is there a time frame for the task force to submit proposals? Are task force positions paid position s? AACO has $ to send people to VA (task force related) but body cams are too expensive lol. No need to answer the ?’s, their agenda is obvious.

Pittman is going to be a One-Term Wonder, and he knows it so he's trying to turn as much of his self-righteousness into law as quickly as he can.

AACO is still very deeply purple, and like Bagnall beating McConkey, next election Pittman will be reminded that voters weren't voting for him last time, they voted to get the previous guy out of office. On taxes alone, Pittman is guaranteeing an election loss unless the Reps can't find a reasonably sane candidate to run against him. Which, sadly, is something to be concerned about, given how many races in MD and VA didn't even have R candidates to vote for the last go-around.

Interim report Thursday night. Input from the committee, but final report prepared by County Exec's office, with help from a few of the total-antis.

Not a paid position. Little dedication from the citizen members. The ex-officio members (PD, FD, etc.) are there as part of their jobs.

Tonight’s meeting at 6 PM the AACO GVP Task Farce “presents” their magic “preliminary report” - - the one that AACo Exec Pittman himself ordered.

The meeting is in the usual place: AA Medical Center, Belcher Pavilion, 7th floor.

Pittman intends to serve up his biased “Report” up on a silver platter to the Maryland General Assembly this month as an excuse for the MGA to enact more gun control on the entire state of Maryland beginning in January 2020.

The TF was deliberately packed by Pittman & Co. with gun banners.

Yet even the Capital Gazette in their article out today refers to the role MDS members played in this process:

“We’re not in it to take anyone’s guns,” [Task farce Chairman Bishop Charles Carroll] said ahead of the presentation. He’s emphasized this since the group’s inception. Gun ownership advocates claimed the group wasn’t listening to all sides, so the task force began holding public comment periods.”

Listen up you “gun ownership advocates”: you played significant role from the very first meeting in preventing the Task Farce from becoming whatever gun ban fever dream the AACo gun banners always intended it to be.

Please attend again tonight if you can to keep this process under observation and some adult control, you “gun ownership advocates”!

NOTE: The Capital Gazette will be sending a reporter to the meeting tonight (H/T to Hodgepodge) and we have been getting significant comment into their newspaper articles ever since the very first TF meeting, so there will be another chance to get your “public comment” into the newspaper tonight!

This morning, an Independent Report to the Anne Arundel Gun Violence Task Force was delivered to both The Capital and the County Exec's Chief of Staff. Thanks to all who made suggestions for improvement and a major thanks to Metaterra for his excellent editing.

If you can attend, please do. No, there is no public comment. Our overlords do not want or need input from the common folk.

I'm totally tired of hearing Bishop Carroll's "No one wants to take your guns." YES, THEY DO!

Every one of the gun control groupies, the one who are directors, officers, or members of CSGV, MPGV, Moms, or Giffords, want to ban, at the point of a gun, ownership of AR-15s. Dammit, they are not assault weapons or weapons of war.
The County Executive and his staff know guns is bad and no one really needs one.

Go home, Bishop Carroll. You were always just a figurehead.

FWIW the Capital Gazette may be trolling us with their new term of art for us: “gun ownership advocates.”

We mocked the CG reporter and editors last spring when they gifted the gun banners with THEIR laughable new descriptor which the CG presented to them in print without attribution or quotation marks: “gun sense advocates”!

Our response (and others) to the CG nonsense was swift; see the clips below.

The current CG reporter’s bio states she has a “bachelor’s degree in psychology” so perhaps this is a psychology experiment by her - - after reading the previous reporter’s old article clips on this TF story - - to discover if we could be labeled as hypocrites for not complaining just as vociferously about her new invention for us: “gun ownership advocates.”

The CG keeps trying to find a way to soft soap the gun banners, and to insinuate that our principles are about loving our property instead of restoring an enumerated civil right.

I have attended all but one of the Gun Take Force meetings, and unfortunately I cannot attend tonight. I'm looking for someone to warm my seat for me. If you haven't attended one of these meetings, it's worth it just to make our presence known, and to prevent the gun-grabbers from stating that we didn't care enough to participate. We have participated, in spite of their blatant attempts to exclude us - look at the list of appointees if you have any doubt.

I have said this before, and I will say it again - Citizenship in the United States of America is not a spectator sport. It requires participation, at the local, State, and Federal level. Be that guy or gal who just shows up, to make our presence known, and to demonstrate that we will not just roll-over and do what these folks command.

Meeting started. AC added some notes to the minutes. Report of TF is supposed to be reviewed tonight.

I've been to about half these and haven't seen anything worthy of reporting.

Analysis from subgroups. I attended one of the communication subcommittee work sessions and they didn't know squat. They would not include any of us in the future, which I believe is a violation of the Open Meetings Act.

A slide was just shown that indicated that suicide of white males is 4 times as many as blacks males. Looking at the population in AA county, whites are about 4x more popular as blacks. So, the rate may actually be the same.

First question out of the box was from a member of the public wanting to know about mental health costs. Patients can't afford it. Question not answered. She was was not a public official.
