Just wanted to thank you alphabrew. Picked up the 870 wingmaster with 20” brushmaster rifle sight barrel. Who’d a thought?! Very pleased, barrel and receiver show light use. Under the trigger guard is excessive scratching. Furniture is dinged up and grubby. Haven’t really spent too much time with it, had to go to work. I’ll post some pics when I can

Spoke today with another shooter that this past week handled one of the new RemArms 1100 Sporting shotguns!

Interesting they list SKU’s for 12ga, 20ga and .410 bore but, no 28ga:

Hopefully I’ll have mine Tuesday, Lord willing and the creek don’t rise. I guess I’ll get some Murphy’s oil soap from Walmart today in preparation for the clean up

Also, people with the 18” barrel models, I’ll bet those are true 18” barrels and not the much more common 18.5”. The true 18” was restricted to LEOs by Remington.

That’s bad ass! What is the two letter code on the barrel? I love the lack of recoil pad on the stock! Outstanding condition overall!

Your wood is nowhere near rough enough to do that IMHO. I’d leave as is

I agree. The gun is actually very clean. And came lubed pretty well. But…new to me firearm I like to look it over.

That gun looks awesome. What is the 2 letter date code on the barrel?

The 18” was almost new from a metal and internals perspective. Very pleased. The 20” makes me smile though. I only cleaned it lightly and lubed. Didn’t want to lose that patina and character. Wish it could talk. Barrel and receiver date Jan 1963

There are 3 letters on the brand side. A K H
The opposite side has a K and what I guess is a proof mark?
The letter M inside a rounded edge triangle
The receiver is
serial number #########V
