That’s a great score! How it look overall? Got pics?

Did you get bead or rifle sights? Does it have a recoil pad or butt plate?

How the 18” gun look, I think you said you got one of each?

Hoping to get better look tomorrow. 18” seems in better shape and maybe from late 70’s. Both have bead sights and recoil pads. Stocks are pretty dinged up. Pretty happy with them. Will update once I can wipe down and handle a bit.

    Killer!!!!!!!

    Out of the box the gun is dry and gritty and sticky enough you almost vomit a little bile into the back of your throat but, get out the magic cart ride and;

    - a 1/2 hour detail strip, cup of low odor mineral spirits, 1” natural bristle brush, air compressor and some XPS lube spray later and, “Voila!”

Action rails? Straight as newly laid railroad tracks!

Mag tube internally? After patched out w some Wd40 then dry rags - MIRROR like!

    Bore? ^same!^

Trigger assembly? After min spirits flush, lube spritz with excess blown off - good as showroom new!

Thanks again, alpha - we have a family wedding coming up so the timing on this could not have been better!

Action is slicker than snot and runs as fast as a sewing machine now …

Wiped them down. No idea on function yet. No time to play til tomorrow. Looks like the 20 is 1963 and 18 may be 78 by receiver.

    F-stop - sweeeet!

I forgot to mention with regard to the birch stock furniture: liberal amounts of Murphys Oil Soap and a final wipe down with some WD-40 did a great job of removing the decades of build-up of KrispyKreme and spilt Big Gulps

Kicking myself for not picking one up. Those look sweet. I remember seeing those in the patrol cars in my hometown as a kid.

If you mean that, these gloss blue WingMasters from King’s for $220 ($250 after shipping, and they ship pronto) clean up nicely and again, 99% time internals are like new …

WD40 +/or Murphys Oil soap and the wood cleans up nicely. Wood is 100% salvageable entirely via removal, scrubbing with oven cleaner and then sanding, staining and finish of one’s choice (I.e., low gloss tung oil). Make great winter weather projects!

Also, more 00 buck; one flat of 250 (10 boxes of 25) $18/ box 25 before shipping and tax: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2900216073?pid=291784

Annnnnd, at .48 cents ppr before ship and tax:

Fiocchi Defense Ammunition 12 Gauge 2-3/4" #1 Buckshot 9 Pellets
