    That's what I'm talking about. I have one and have run the heck out of it. My go to gun. Liked it so much I bought another one just to have as a back up.

    The rear sights suck though (sharp). Throw a Harrison or 10-8 combat sight on.

    RIA released

    Brownstone Trading is now releasing early and I got my RIA Tactical out today. Still oily. Can't wait to clean it up and try it out. First handgun in 25 years.

    I put the Hogues back on....the Pachmayrs look great, but the rubber in the finger grooves is not as solid as the Hogue and has already started to split.

    If no one minds a .22LR version here...

    I always thought the 1911 was too big of a platform for my girlish hands, but this is the gun that taught me otherwise. I've been shooting it for about 4 months now to get used to the ergonomics. Now, I am waiting on an R1 (one more week!), and then I'll have to get used to the kick.

    Here's some of my 1911s all are .45 ACP except for the RIA:
    Ruger SR1911 CMD/w elephant ivory grips.
    Sig 1911 Ultra Two Tone/w Crimson Trace Laser grips and Wilson Combat mag.
    Colt Officer's Model/w Pachmayr grips and Wilson Combat mag.
    RIA Tactical II FS (10mm) stock so far.
