New R1...
My wait is over. Here's my first .45. The reach to the slide stop is a stretch, might have to get an extended aftermarket one to improve functionality. Haven't shot it yet, waiting on ammo delivery. But, it was fairly dirty inside the chamber when I picked it up. It took a lot of cleaning. Perhaps these are test fired more than once before leaving the factory?

Just picked up the identical 1911 at Hafer's this week. Errr.........I'm pretty sure it's far from my first. It is my fifth Colt though.
Got some new VZ grips and screws for my S&W 1911TA. They're Operator II's in Hyena Brown. Very aggressive texture, but I like them a lot.

Gift to my wife she insisted I take multi photos to catch the color changes. Btw, I made her shoot a P238 before I bought it for her. Her next goal is learning she has to field stip it. It is hers, not mine.
