The Maryland Licensed Dealers Association used to be headed by Sanford Abrams at one time. They are not our friend.

There are far too many who are willing to surrender their freedom in this state. Looks like a number of them are on this forum. I am not willing to give up any more, period! It is utterly absurd that the very idea of being charged multiple fees to be able to sell your lawfully owned property would be acceptable to any real American!

Sandy Abrams put gun ownership in a bad light. :sad20:

I'd like to also (again cause it makes me happy to out shit businesses) say that Millers Guns in New Castle took the time to draft a letter a few years back proclaiming how they supported ending legal FTF transfers in Delaware.

They sent it directly to the legislature, likely under the incorrect assumption it wouldn't be seen by the public.

    They were wrong.

Yep. Never been back since. Kind of like how the guy who used to own Cooters came out for the HQL.

Too many have forgotten how they held us hostage in 2013 even though the law said we could have our pistols after 8 days. This from business who knew their customers, some for many years. They caved and we paid for it. It will be the same this time. :mad54:

You're close but not quite there. What was said was by MSP and it had to do with them not enforcing the law.
The law did not say you could have your pistol in 8 days.

    Exactly.

The issue here is we've got people on ALL sides clamoring to assist saving the lives of those who knowingly and repeatedly inject poison into their bodies.

This is a KNOWN deadly substance they are dealing with. They know people who have died, they have internet access on their phones.

Yet, WE pay, over and over again.

I know people who were excited when a Pastor at their church had been trained in the use of Narcan. What a joke..... instead of playing God and bringing people back to life, maybe church going folks should let God sort out the people from society who do far more harm than good?

Yep. I got this “training” yesterday. On the up side, I can get free Narcan from Baltimore County any time I want it. So can you if you are certified....
The FFL's in this state are not your friends. They are business people who practice the first rule of business, make a profit. Too many have forgotten how they held us hostage in 2013 even though the law said we could have our pistols after 8 days. This from business who knew their customers, some for many years. They caved and we paid for it. It will be the same this time. :mad54:

My favorite FFLs are my friends and fought against this nonsense.

    Thank God for that!

We wouldn't want to run out of Heroin addicts
The whole thing is mind boggling to me. This is a substance (heroin/fentanyl) that is absolutely KNOWN to be deadly in the right dose......... yet people ingest it or are even in the same room with it.

I just don't get it. I can't point to another example of where there's a system in place to save people----- using tax dollars who are doing something deadly....daily.

well, yeah, but alcohol is known to be deadly in the right dose too. People ingest it regularly. Many people think that the high is worth the risk. And- medicare saves a lot of people from 40 years of smoking (or at least prolongs their life).

Water can be lethal if you drink enough.

Yep. Picked up a patient years ago during a heavey snowstorm. His chief complaint was he had been hicuping all day and couldn't stop. Bit my tongue to keep from blurting out " you called 911 in the middle of a freaking blizzard because you have the hicups?" When the hospital ran his bloodwork, he was seriously deficient in sodium and a few other goodies due to him drinking large volumes of water the previous two days.

Wasn't there some sort of dealer association back in 2013 that Lou was heading?

Heck, trying to get all gun owners to act in a concerted manner to accomplish something is an impossibility. We all have differing ideas. Heck, bet there is a lot of disagreement just on white shirts.
Per information I received from several sources, the dealers association folded last January.

Long lines at the Opioid treatment offices up here in Harford, even at 6AM. Parking lots full, everyone mingling around.

I dont know what/how much they give these people but I've seen them get in their cars and nearly cause a major collision with other vehicles, especially the one in Riverside/Belcamp.
