We have a pretty good idea that we were in Mayor Gavin Buckley’s head all day...

The police commander acknowledged that his “communications guy” had been reading the thread here all week and reporting up the chain.

That said, the Mayor gave at least one interview where he was on the defensive, denying that this concert he put on was “political”, or about gun control.

And, as noted earlier, the decision to place this thread in the “open” Maryland 2A” section explains why the Annapolis PD greeted us upon arrival this afternoon and started the conversation about where we “were to be placed”...

The scene commander was very nice and understood the PP goes where it is needed most, which is the best “place”...

Good work. Sorry I had to sit around and offer up a cheap karma instead of joining you.

You can take my place at the NRA HQ next week.

Was the MSNBC guy Richard Liu.

Yes, that was MSNBC news anchor and NBC contributor Richard Lui spending quite a bit of time with us to discuss the topic of Self Defense For All.

Here, talking to Deep Lurker, Stoveman and me.

The attendance was not what it could be and Mayor Gavin Buckley will have a lot of ‘splainin’ to do...

Hopefully, the less impulsive City Council or a private group will reboot a “Gazette families fundraiser” with the kind of wide promotion needed for success.

And certainly, we expect they will set aside the “Castro-style entertainment + political badgering” formula and just conduct a fundraiser that is simply entertaining...as a win-win for the Gazette families as well as the attendees.

In the video at the top of that Sun article - that clearly looks to me like they took Good Charlotte video from another concert in order to make it appear that this was a bigger deal than it was.

From what I saw of the stage, it was not nearly that big and had none of the video screens.

And once again the careful deliberation by PP leadership on the venue and the desired messaging pays off in spades.

Westboro Baptist? I think not !!!

And of course the keyboard commandos who sit on the sidelines and criticize the varied but thoughtful messaging of PP efforts were no where to be seen.

Congrats on a great day guys and gals.

That video was clearly shot in a stadium somewhere else and was definitely not yesterday in Annapolis.

I went up to the top level of the garage that was right there and could see the whole venue and at 3:30 there were ~200 people spread out over the three block area. When we broke to get something to eat I would guess that the number had increased to 1K or maybe a little more. The attendees were dribbing and drabbing in, there were never more than 3-4 folks waiting to get their wrist bands at the entrance table.

We have more great pictures coming, but I have to go home to prep for our “surprise PP participation” in a gun control round table in Pasadena tomorrow.

But can I tell you, we had a winning day...

All the naysayers in this thread should be embarrassed and take some time to reflect on Jeff and his group’s history of success.

Then, they should get out, and join us standing up to these gun banning communists ideas wherever they try to spread their propaganda.

Shouldn't there be an official count easily obtained based on ticket sales?

I was apprehensive about this event and didn’t say so, or post anything negative. You know everyone is capable of not posting every damn thing that pops into their fool head. (I ended up not going for entirely different reasons).

“Few men are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world which yields most painfully to change.”

Most of the other volunteers were wearing the white shirts with the event logo as seen on the guy in the background of that pic. When I saw this lady I went up to her and told her that I "loved" her shirt and couldn't believe that she was allowed to wear it. She assured me that it was "no problem".

So of course it would have been okay for a volunteer to wear a Trump shirt, right? :sarcasm:
