“Few men are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world which yields most painfully to change.”
~ Robert F. Kennedy 1966 Speech, US Democratic Politician
I got out of my cooking gig at 11 p.m. last night. EIGHT straight hours of prep, cooking, serving, teardown and cleanup. No time to eat the meal we prepared. On my feet the entire time. I WISH I could have joined my brothers at the festivities.
IMO, flinging brickbats at those who cannot attend FOR ANY REASON really doesn't help the causes that the PP supports. I do wish the "flingers" would just refrain. You don't realize it, but it does turn people off and further empowers our adversaries.
Hopefully I'll be able to partake in the upcoming get together...
