Duck hunting looks like so much fun, I've never been. Seems like it would be hard to tell what species your shooting while they are flying at 30mph

Looks like you had a pretty good early season metalman. Nice looking duck hole too. I didn't get out for this split at all (had a lease fall through last minute) but I'll be ready to roll in Nov.

One of these years I'd like to try to find someone to show me the ropes on duck hunting. At least before I invest in decoys and everything else.

Looks like you guys had some nice hauls.

Don't know where you're located but I often have an open spot on my boat if you really want to try out some duck hunting. I hunt both PA and MD. Live in northern Baltimore county. Shoot me a PM if interested. Hunt mostly early mornings during the week as I am a shift worker.

I went out on Saturday and got blown off the water by 8:30. There were whitecaps on the river! Add to that the fact that hydrilla is still thick, and clogged up my prop every 100 feet or so, and I only saw six birds flying, it was a sucky morning.

I am living vicariously through you guys this season, and hating all of you at the same time. I smile as I write this. All I can do is prepare for next year as this ruptured Achilles heals and I look for a new place to hunt after one of the farms I hunt on was sold. Might just have to join my buddy's hunt club until I can afford my own farm.

By the way, nice pics. Keep posting them up.

Went to the pond behind my blind on the creek and chased up 3 to 4 dozen woodies, hope they are still around when the season is back in.
And another pick from the last day.

What counties is everyone hunting in? I usually hunt in Frederick county the spot I usually hunt is completely dried up. I've been traveling for work the last 3 months and came back to a lot of work. Blind is in bad shape.
