There needs to be good reason to run toward the sounds of gunfire.

Nobody runs toward the sounds of gunfire, but a lot of cases people just discover holes way later after the incidents.

Eventually you'd know it.......

I walked more than four city blocks when I got shot before I realized it. Spent a week in the hospital because the bullet broke the bone in my lower leg all the way to the marrow.

I felt/heard shots over me. I dropped to the ground. After I hit the ground, I looked for better cover or concealment. Then I noticed flies all over the place. It was amazing how fast they found my blood. That's when I realized I had been shot.
