Are you kidding or....
I dont feel comfortable enough to carry in MD - they are not a gun comfortable state. I get dirty looks loading up my SUV before the range......I guess I should get pelican cases rather than the one that outlines the gun :lol2::lol2:
Yeah I was reading into that, more specifically great falls park - but apparently rest rooms are not off limits, as they dont have no gun signs before the entry (specific to great falls)
But I also remember someone saying that it is illegal due to having to use the bathroom you have to unmount...
If approached by a park ranger (I'd obviously keep my arms away maybe even folded over my chest so he could see I have no intentions of reaching for it), I'm going to assume hell ask something along the lines of if I own it, if I'm old enough, and the last question to answer "why".
I'm just...
I dont have a concealed...and I know alot of people find open carry stupid - but I just want to exercise my rights once for the experience.
I wanted to hike Snead Farm Dick Ridge Loop.
I want to carry my Mossberg Pump Action w/ a sling.
I've referred to these links...
Dont you guys every worried about getting shot by someone else hunting a little whiles away? I've never been hunting and thats something thats always in the back of my mind. What if someone shoots misses and youre in the line of fire lol
I can hear the spring clearly with ear plugs in lol
I've always wanted to shoot without ear plugs, but I've had my ears ring with ear plugs so I dont think its a good idea.
I was just going to put a nitril glove on, put the lube on my finger, and run my fingers in circles down the spring...
So I went to shoot my first build, I was really happy - still am. But I could hear the buffer tube everytime I shot, I hate it lol.
I just wanna hear my baby go bang....I've read everything from coat the spring in lube, coating it in graphite powder, or getting something like a spike...
Yeah I shot it yesterday, problem is the longest distance at Gilbert is 25m, I'm going to have to get to a proper range to get the sights right.
It was fun though, had one problem with a round not going off, after letting the gun sit for 30 seconds I reloaded it and it happened again, not...
I'm in the same boat as you right now and I've narrowed it down to what I like in my hand
So far:
Glock 17 G4
Walther PPQ
Sig 226
Springfield XDM
The glock 17 is within your budget, its most likely the first Handgun I will by next week. Close considerations for me are somewhere between the XDM...
Yeah possibly - at the liquor store my friend is careful when the shifts change (registers are filled up) and at night when they close, probably giving the airheads too much credit.
Who goes for cash registers in the morning? (family friend owns a liquor store in Baltimore) At least no one was hurt and seemingly left shortly after the drawers opened...
I can see your point - but like I said I'd rather just have it.
As far as the mountain lion - that may be true - was hoping being in a group would discourage a cat.
I guess I'm just kind of wanting it for peace of mind. I come from the city - and have gotten more adventurous as I aged...
Gee thanks for all the answers guys!
I'll start out by saying some of the places I want to go now are out west (after I found out you can take your guns with you on the plane lol). Some places I'm looking to hike is Utah, Arizona, Oregon, Washington State....
Utah is the only one Ive...
The biggest Animal would probably be a bear (not sure of breed) and a moose lol. I was reading on what wildlife was around where I wanted to go hiking and there are some predatory cats, bears, moose/elk, and some other small stuff. I doubt that I'd run into one but I'd rather be safe than sorry...
