How should I record a C&R I intend to use for parts?

I bought a Mosin before I ever got my C&R license and before I really even knew anything about them. Although I love everything about it the bore is very dark and the rifling is very weak in the last few inches and as such suffers very poor accuracy. What I intend to do is salvage good parts...

Mosin 91/30 front sight won't budge

I picked up a '39 mosin with a pristine bore and has great grouping, however it shoots a foot high and 6 inches to the left at 100 yards. I have a smith sight from my other mosin I'm going to put on but the front sight on this one just won't budge. I let it soak in kroil overnight, pounded it...

Don't see Polish Radom P64 on handgun roster

As far as I know, the p64 is completely legal in MD, and can have it shipped to your door as an 03 FFL, but why is this gun not on the handgun roster? Don't all C&R handguns have to be on the roster to be considered legal in MD? Or is it listed as something else and I'm just missing it?

      Interested in getting C&R license...

... And I read over the sticky at the top of the page to get more information. I'm not very familiar with the recent gun control laws Maryland passed last year so are there any new restrictions as far as being a C&R holder go? Would I still be able to order say a K31 from Aim and have it...

Question on sending SKS out for repair

Not sure if anyone is familiar with Murray's firing pins for SKS's but he is now offering a "Neck and Throat" service that is supposed to prevent popped primers. My Yugo SKS is bad for popped primers in berdan primed ammo and has ruined my original firing pin. My question is with the laws...

      General consensus of Herters ammo?

Cabelas has Herters 7.62x39 on sale for 4.99/20 rd. box. As much as I can find, this stuff is basically re-branded wolf ammo. Anybody have any experience with this stuff?Just bought 15 boxes so I'll soon find out. Link...

SKS stock with pistol grip legal?

I have a '73 Yugo SKS with a decent original stock, but I've come across a polymer stock with a blade cutout, pistol grip and telescoping butt stock on Amazon. I'm assuming this is a legal purchase in MD? Or is it too scary looking to be legal in MD? It also states that is is 922r compliant (not...

      Mosin 91/30 firing pin question

Hello there. I have a 1941 Izzy mosin that I bought a month or so ago and have only got to fire it once :( Mine didn't come with a tool/firing pin gauge so I had to order one off of the internet which got many favorable reviews for accuracy. The problem is I can not get the firing pin protrusion...

A bit confused on current rifle laws in MD

I'm relatively new here and to owning firearms in general. I'm a bit confused to the current rifle laws in MD and I can't find much info anywhere. Other than short barreled rifles, what are current restrictions on rifles and what does MD classify as an assault weapon? the only thing I could find...

Things to look for when buying a Mosin Nagant?

Hello. I recently bought a S&W .357 revolver and sought a bit of help on these forums and am now feeling the adddictiveness of buying more! I'm looking to get a Mosin Nagant because of their historical value, and well, their value. I've seen them online for pretty cheap. My question is if I can...

1st time buyer thinking of getting revolver

Hello, this will be my first gun purchase, and first time I'll be firing a gun in quite a few years. I thought about getting a revolver instead of a semi-auto pistol since maintenance and use seems easier with a revolver for a new-ish user. Anyway, I'm a bit confused to the laws MD has in place...
