I own an M1 Tanker Garand in 30'06 passed down from my father, no idea on it's provenance, it is a Springfield Receiver and Stock, looks to have about 4" less Barrel than a standard Garand. No complaints, shoots straight manageable recoil.

The Pros:
It is a tack driver with a sweet recoil. 50 Round Standard capacity magazine.
Easy to service and clean, fully ambidextrous.
The Cons:
5.7mm Ammo can be scarce at times and usually expensive 60cpr or so.
