Probably. SC will only include you if you own property in the State & reside there for a number of months every year.
Of course if you lived in VA & had a resident permit it wouldn't be an issue. Which always makes me ask the question, "why does traffic suck so bad on that side of the river!?"...
The dealers I know have permits. They justify the need being that they transport guns when going to UPS or post office for shipping said items, along with carrying of large sums of $$.
Would love to hear what happens also.
I love that I have 6 CCWs from other states & can carry in 41 states, but can't carry in the state that I live in.
As at least one other person here posted, you may seriously want to look at living in VA, DE or PA & commuting. Gun laws & taxes are better in those states. I guess it all depends on where the job will be.
Either way welcome aboard.
One has to remember that the brain trust of PG County, Baltimore City, & Monkey County determine were this state goes in every election. I am not willing to relinquish my 2nd Amendment rights to those people.
Nanook, thanks for the welcome.
I don't think I am any more upset with the current situation in Maryland than anyone else here & I have been through a good part of the CCW process here in the State ( yes, inspite of stating that I wouldn't apply in this state, I did once start the process &...
The bottom line from this discussion is that you need to know someone higher up in the process to get a CCW here in the State. I have 6 non resident CCWs, but don't dare to try & apply for one here in Maryland or for that matter in NJ either. While the good people in Fl & UT may state that...
So can anyone tell me just what is the process here in the state for having a handgun approved for sale.
I ask this because I have found that while I am able to purchase a Bul Cherokee in subcompact, the state does not allow the full frame to be sold here. This makes absolutely no sense to me...
Found this place on the internet & being stuck here in the socialist state of maryland thought it was an interesting source of information for someone that shoots. Looking forward to gaining more info on how things work here in maryland & just schmoosing with other gun owners.
