MoCo has a venison donation program.
Processors here in Poolesville and another in Damascus. I don't know how someone would be able to qualify for the meat, but I am sure that it is on the county webpage.
Check it out, it may be a viable option for you

Thank you and I will do appreciate all the help and support
Git out there. You don't need anyone to show you. You will figure out what works for you.

Have your daughters go thru hunter education with you, if you go to a traditional sit down class in Maryland (they are free). Not to mention that will give them a memory for life that you both share.

If you get your daughters through hunter education, they can put meat on the table too! Meaning less for you to do :innocent0

Heck, even invite the missus to participate.

Quite a few ladies (young and old) are in Hunter Education classes because they want to join the family hunts or enjoy venison.

Welcome from Laurel. Raising daughters is tougher now than when I did it. Good luck to you with three of them.
Learned to hunt pretty much on my own on public property in Pa when I lived there. Found success the second year and that experience was the best teacher I ever had. Learned a lot about what not to do like,..... shoot a deer you will have to drag almost vertically for 300 yards before you won't need to keep tying it off, to keep it from falling back down the mountain. Good thing I carried a rope when hunting.
These days, there are tons of video to teach you almost anything.
Not sure about magazines(the paperback kind with words and pictures) that might still be available, but they were helpful to me.
As you hunt, you will meet like minded individuals along the way and can often learn much from them.

15 posts on 4-5 December last year then nothing? Asking the same thing in multiple threads. Really weird. Can’t tell if he’s a venison lover or looking for handouts. Noticed he has not once replied that he’s acted on any suggestion made by members as to Hunter training or food handout locations. Guess he doesn’t have WiFi on the road to reply during the year except for the Christmas holidays. Has anyone actually given him any venison in the past 3 years?

Regardless of Chevyman , donating is a fine and worthwhile thing thru Hunters for Hungry and similar programs .
