None of the news stories say anything about a charge of carrying without a permit

Any older charges/convictions which would render him prohibited? I’m too lazy to look.

Well this will certainly complicate his renewal application.

Ok, unlike Leftists, we are not Utopians. It's a messy, imperfect world and there are no ideal solutions, only trade-offs. There certainly will be some incidents of permit holders misusing their guns. There will be some bad incidents of the exact sort the Frosh types predict.

However those incidents will be astonishingly few in numbers, and that has been borne out over and over, in State after State, over decades of Shall Issue and Constitutional Carry. Statistics show that permit holders are even less likely than sworn LEOs to do stupid crap like this.

This is true. I'll hope @Blaster229 will weigh in, though a federal air marshal I know reports that sworn police officers are seven times more likely to illegally misuse a firearm than a wear and carry permit holder. SEVEN TIMES! We are the safest armed individuals there are.

Now showing up in more official channels and media online.

There we go. Good to know. It had all the makings of a fake story. Now we wait for the details.

The lack of carrying a firearm with out a permit could be as simple as they cant prove he was carrying it loaded and on his person. The video shows him walking up with it in his hand.

I thought you had knowledge regarding statistics of the likelihood of sworn officers to commit violent gun crimes versus W&C permit holders. Perhaps I was mistaken.
Not me. Don't care about stats.

I will say one thing about LEO's and "issues".. Wives and girlfriends have no problem calling 911 or the office saying their other half "threatened them with their pistol". Now if some of those things lead to arrests and make "stats" before they are adjudicated, then that could be a thing.

However, if your stat is correct, there were 7 cops who had incidents when this incident happened. That is impossible.

The real issue is, how can something spelled TANEY be pronounced TAWNEY?
    Or W-O-R-C-E-S-T-E-R be pronounced “Wuster”?

Besides, “Taney” was supposedly one of those racist evil Maga right-wing Nazi trans/homophobes that ruined modern day America (from over 200 years ago somehow) that is being cancelled left and right, with monuments and plaques being removed or defaced all over. It won’t be long (even in Carroll County) the town will get re-named.

He drew it from a fanny pack. He should be charged for wearing a fanny pack in public, in daylight, in 2023.
