Wow! That was quite disturbing. I'm hoping that the officers that left due to safety brought back a whole lot of them and this didn't just go down with no pushback.

Seriously. Being a LEO, that was very painful to watch. I can understand not taking action immediately and bringing backup; it was obvious that one car, even if it was a 2 man unit, would be clearly overwhelmed.

That situation needed to be addressed.

    Moonbeam, down to Earth now?!?!

“What can laws do to solve immediate problems?” Brown said. “I want to say that laws have their role, but in terms of crime and guns and violence, we’ve been at this thing for more than 50 years on this very topic, and we’ve passed a tremendous number of laws. There is something else, it’s called administering the laws we have and working together in a community. That is where the greatest yield can be found in terms of making Oakland a safer place.”

And I hope nobody took my post thinking I thought the officers were wrong in leaving. Their safety was in jeopardy immediately.

Plan D? Not worth the hassle.
If this was the wild west. A posse would form. A body count would be imposed and order would be restored.

This is was liberal f..k heads always bring.

Its happening in every major city to one degree or another.

The police left because the f..k in charge want them to. Make no mistake about it. I saw this pattern in Dinkins NYC.

Even when they get a clue and vote to the right they will be right back where they started in just one generation

Take a good look at what's going to happen in NYC now...

Pretty soon good police ( and they are by far the majority) will quit in despair.. and disgust..

Reminds me of the 70's. And the movies of the time.

    Dirty Harry.. Death wish.. etc..

We will know when folks get pissed off my the return of those kind of movies..

And f.k you Baltimore. .. just for existing.

Oakland has always been a toiletbowl but the incursion of gangs caused by illegal immigration has made it worse.

I think most of the violent street gangs in America make their money from selling illegal drugs since they have total control of the black market thanks to prohibition. There's also no respect for authority which I think is another symptom of California's failed drug and gun policies.

No... open defiance of the police is the result of police policies that endanger the police as well as the public by yielding to threats..

Once you start backing down to thugs they get bolder.... this is as real as it gets.. once killing a cop was taboo even among criminals... this was because society drew a line on the sand ,and unlike our President, we meant it.. they knew there would be retribution... today they know they can get away with it.

Some of these thugs kill for fun.. think on that..

We are going to need to put shit right one of these days... until then lots of good people as well as the police will be put at risk..

This is what comes of liberal idiocy. I just hope its mostly liberals that get killed...
