A strange thought occurred to me...

I think "arrogance" is a better word than "pride" to describe the particular behavior of the anti-gun legislators. I'm sure that when SB281 was passed, those folks were riding high on the coattails of a re-elected Obama and thought they could do whatever the hell they wanted to. And...they got away with it.

Now, things are different (hopefully). Gotta keep fighting the good fight!

Anyone who looks at this lawsuit being a slam dunk, we get a hearing and the law goes away, has not been following constitutional law cases. Neither side will give up on this until it goes all the way to the top and all the possibilities exhausted. This is just the opening shot of a case/cases that will be moving through the courts for years an years.

Any legal experts care to give an opinion of when this may be ultimately resolved? Three years/ Five/ More?

Still waiting for the fat lady to sing on Woollard.

Almost certainly before this gets to the Supremes some of the people of the court will have changed. That is why the next presidential election is vital.

What is depressing is that the administration will use our tax dollars against the plaintiffs which most of us support in one form or another.

Anyone who voted AYE should be required to pay for the legal fees on both sides and resign their post if a law they pass is found unconstitutional... that goes for the guy who signs it into law too!

There are three "active" suits that I know of.

The "Backlog" suit, which has been held

The "77r/PII" suitt, which was supposed to have a second hearing today, and

The "Banned LGs/Magazines" suit, which is scheduled for Tuesday (in Fed. Dist. Court)

If anything has come out on the handgun side of it, it's news here, too.

    Now... That said......

It is my hope that every badass legal mammajamma will descend on the state and tear them a new one on every freaking aspect of firearms law, and set this damned thing straight. But I'll wake up, soon........
