Hi to everyone on the forum.
I 've recently moved to SoMD from the UK and decided to get back to shooting. Some of you may know how difficult gun ownership is abroad, and the UK was no exception. It's probably 25 years since I shot anything other than service weapons (FN SLR and SA-80) so I'm starting slow.
Spent a few weeks working on the 'non-citizen, non-immigrant' status issues that seemed to prevent me achieving anything. Despite being a tax-paying, MD resident it was all looking like a lot of hard work.
With a little help and guidance I found that if I competed the DNR Hunters Ed, got a hunting license and completed the ATF 4473 process, then Walmart were happy to sell me a shotgun. So I have now picked up my first gun. Only a Mossberg 12ga pump, but it feels like success!
I'm seeing lots of good words about Bobs Sunoco, so hope to be heading here next week to discuss Glocks . . .
Looking forward to meeting some of you out and about.
Cheers!
Brian
