It was a bit carthotic to stand face to face with Dumais and watch her loose her composure. I don't think she likes being questioned or lectured. Believe me I wanted to say a lot more things than I did but she got the point. We need her gone, I have pledged $1,000 towards defeating her in a primary. If we can beat her in Moco it will send a clear message to the rest of that hacks in the legislature.

Still in utter disbelief that the people deciding the fate of the 2nd amendment in MD do not know the difference between a magazine and a clip, a revolver and a semiautomatic, a shotgun and a rifle.... It could be attributed to ignorance in January, but NOT NOW!

Intentional ignorance or plausible deniability. If they acknowledged learning those things, they would have to acknowledge lots of other facts that they don't want to.

Pure arrogance in dictating from a place of supposed ignorance or fear.

We will lose a referendum. We will then forever hear that the gun ban and all these BS provisions are the "will of the People of Maryland". How is that a good thing?

That's true. They've successfully exploited the immediate crisis; now's our opportunity to plan and implement some serious strategery.

We came back after Germany bombed Pearl Harbor (yeah, I know), and we, too, can do our country proud.

I disagree. She needs to go. A couple of the high vis dbags need to be unemployed next year. She is one of them. I do agree we will win by capitalizing on the ones at risk but we need to get rid of her!

I didn't say she shouldn't go. She should. But her constituents and money sources agree with her. If she is vulnerable, go for it. Spending resources in MoCo is probably a lost cause, unless there's some special circumstance. They are in la-la land there. San Francisco East. I left MoCo after spending most of my life there, but now they're imposing it on the whole state.

Today, Dumais most likely will be lionized, if not canonized in MoCo for her efforts, no matter how much we think she's an arrogant, ignorant, and dishonest flake. Our opinions don't matter. Her delusional constituents' do. Just trying to be pragmatic, and I'll be the first to be delighted if I'm wrong and she gets tossed.

I was in most of the committee hearings (and was one who walked out last Friday) and on the floor, and would love to see her voted out. But maybe our limited resources are better spent elsewhere. jmho, and others might have more insight.

I'm thinking that there will be lots of expensive litigation ahead.

Maybe I missed it on another page or something, but is there a list of voting for and against SB281? So we know who needs to be voted out.

It's not that simple. Just because they voted nay does not mean they were not truly against the bill. After the "huddle" just before the third read, some dems voted just to make it look less like the total sham that it was. Many of the nay group voted for a lot of the amendments that stripped more of our right.

They can ALL go as far as I am concerned, incumbent means sayonara in my book. Only a very select few that were outspoken 2a supporters and leaders get excluded.

Excellent point that I fear may be lost, so let's be clear about something ...

The 2A leadership should take stock in a quiet moment when things calm down, and note who voted against the many amendments, but in the end voted for the bill. THOSE are the ones who FEEL LIKE THEY ARE AT RISK. Probably, because they are, and they know it better than we do. Take them at their word / actions.

I agree we need to match their votes on the Amendments and the Bill to see the true nature of the beast. Most were not voting Nay to make it look less like a sham. They voted Nay so they can go to their Pro 2A constituents and say "See I voted against it." We will hammer them with that lie. How can ANYONE Vote Against making it so if you do a crime with a gun you can't plea it down and if convicted you do 100% of your time. No good boy credits. That is the tell all.

Take a look no further than the district of the guy I was replying to from mechanicsville, district 28.

Sally Jameson and Murphy were squarely on the side of the anti's with all of their amendment voting. But then they voted Nay to the bill just so they can say they did. I can guarantee if they knew their votes would swing the bill to not pass, that would not have happened.

So, the answer is that we - the pro 2nd Amendment voters - should pull together a list of exactly which reps are the true supporters and which are simply trying to save their hides. I saw a spreadsheet a while ago that listed each Senator and Representative with a letter grade declaring each's worth to the 2nd admendment cause. That sounds like a good starting point for lining up the "final grades" to be used for voting in 2014.

    What do you folks think?

Agree. I once heard somewhere that revenge is dish best served cold. I think when this is over we need to analyze each Del. and Sen. EVERY vote. Amendments, cloture, bills in and out of committee. Educate others on the significance of these things, and then work on defeating the most vulnerable anti 2As wether hidden or apparent. We don't have much time until 2014 and MoCo is a very wealthy area. Defeating one candidate while satisfying, will cost alot in time and resources better spent on more vulnerable and cost effective campaigns.

Just dropped by Delegates Dumais and Vallerio's offices. I think i pooped in her lunch bowl. MOM was there conjaculating her on the bills passage. I walked right after and had a chat with Del Dumais. Showed her a picture of my 9 year old and told her that this was a bad bill that is stealing my daughters rights. I was given a copy of her donors by Flyingblind (nice to meet you) which I handed to her along with a card I printed up with link to WWW.MDWONTFORGET.COM. Told her as a Democratic constituent in her district that I could not support her and would work to remove her from office. Let her know I was going to write a personal letter to each of her supporters along with the card requesting they not support her reelection.

We discussed the bill and how incredulous I was that she didn't want to support full sentences for criminals using a gun and allowing police officers to carry off duty in schools. She tried to tell me she worked to "fix" the bill but the tide of the house was against her. I told her tjat was BS' " You co-chair the Judiciary committee and co-sponsored the bill". She was getting flustered at this point and her voice was breaking. I think I almost saw a tear :). She then said she had to go to meet with the committee and was sorry I would not look past the flaws in the bill and at all other other good work she has done. I told her thank you for your time but your support for this bill has wrought far more damge then she realized. It is a unforgivable act to trample on my and my kids Constitutional rights.

I think I ruined her celebration, I just wish I had 20 others there with me to piss in her punch bowl.

    Perfect!

If there was a group, she could have written it off as a mob hit and made her self a victim. But one on one, there was no place to hide. And telling her she was infringing on your daughters future rights, maybe it made her think about the lasting results of her actions. Maybe she caught a glimpse of the cost of the piece of her soul that she sold off. Maybe you put a little bit of doubt in her mind.

I hope it haunts her for the rest of her life.

Here is her Facebook page complete with congratulations for today's victory.

You can't post on her page without being a "friend". I sent her a request; we'll see if she approves it. I'll likely get "unfriended" after my first post though...
I invite everyone to let her know how you feel.

Klunatic, YOU ROCK! Wish I had known that was coming up, I would have gone with you. I think I may have rolled into the House bldg just after this, or during, as I nearly stumbled into Mao O'Malley as he was walking away from her office. I must have really looked angry, as one of his detail gave me a double take as they walked by.

Nice to meet you today, BTW. Excellent work on Dumais, I hope the C U N T has nightmares for days.
