remember recording audio in maryland is illegal, but record data is always.
    think be for you write.

Not for the Federal or State govt. Evidently his supervisor was on a govt phone. Nothing has been put out if the conversation was recorded though.

    Sgt Preston back again...

My point in commenting on this thread is not to criticize this guy...

I viewed this as a "teachable moment"...

My comments have been directed to other MD Shooters & casual readers...

We all need to be very careful to control our emotions & to control what we say during difficult times...

This guy's life has been changed forever strictly because of what he said...

:goodpost: Yep. That's the same thing that I was trying to get across -- not in any way trying to determine whether the guy is guilty or innocent. And my comments about basic training, for those who haven't been through it, is that (in the old days, at least), it was made clear to you that you didn't have to like the s&&t ... you just had to eat the s&&t ... and you learned to keep your mouth shut, control your emotions, and channel that energy into thinking through a rational course of action under pressure.

Mr. Prescott may or may not have done anything illegal. Yes, you can wear a T Shirt that says "guns don't kill people, I do." There may be an appropriate time to do so. My opinion is that Mr. Prescott's actions showed the maturity and judgement of a 12 year old.

And Mr. Prescott's actions were what? Why is it ok for us to speculate what he did when we have been offered no proof?

Would you have the same standard of fairness and unwillingness to rush to judgement for someone who is anti-gun? Or is your support for Mr. Prescott based solely on his being a gun owner?

Wear a TShirt like that while possessing a collection of firearms that are not exactly designed for skeet shooting - a few days after some one killed more movie goers in Arizona than US Forces lost in Afghanistan in two weeks.

Then make threats to kill your boss.

Be sure to have the T Shirt on when the SWAT Team drops in.....

Good News is -- you will find people who consider you a Martyr for the Second Amendment!
And a victim of anti gun Law Enforcement

Don't take offense, but how is this statement relevant to what Russ D said? It seems more like an attack on his personal beliefs rather then a counter point.

I don't see where he is "offering support" but simply asking why speculate his guilt without proof or at the very least a court decision from a judge or jury.\

At this point there are no formal charges and only a search warrant from the county where at least this time they found the right address without killing anyones pets. ;)

He wore that t-shirt in the privacy of his home.

His collection of firearms? Mine's bigger. I've several AR's, Garands, Mosins, All sorts of handguns. AND I shoot sporting clays. Again, so what?

Then make threats to kill your boss.

Did you hear a tape of the "threat"? Yeah, me neither.

Oh, and wait for it... Neither did the SWAT Team, the judge that signed the search warrant, nor did you...

Be sure to have the T Shirt on when the SWAT Team drops in.....

Everyone who is convicting this guy of being an asshat is ASSUMING he said something to the ex-employer. He is the ex-employer because the alleged threatener was fired. Was he fired because he was an asshat? Was he fired because of downsizing? Was he fired because the boss was a little minded jerk who had it out for him? It could be any of these possibilities, we have no way of knowing. But if he was fired as retribution, would it not be possible that a false report could have been made by the same guy in order to further ruin the ex-employee's day?

The point is this: He MIGHT have said something offensive to the guy and got himself in trouble. But, he MIGHT NOT have said a single word to the guy either, which is just as likely. Nobody knows the truth except 2 people and one ain't talking as far as we know. So, since 1 guy says it is so, now all of a sudden it is so?

Here is my declaration: from now on, the color blue shall be referred to as the color green. I have said it is so, so it is now reality. Get used to it.

They are not statements, they are questions.

You mean like my loud and unwavering support for same sex marriage? How popular do you think that is around here and in my circle of friends? I'm also an atheist who will march for the freedom of religion from government restriction. Not that I owed you that explanation but I live it. I don't just take the easy road when it comes to freedom.

So now you are judging the situation differently because of your speculated uses for his guns? Do you think one of his evil rifles had a shoulder thing that goes up too?
