Well I am getting my app in order and plan to send it in for Aug 7th. I had it all ready for before but have moved since then so will need to get things re-notarized.

Awesome news! Got my app in on March 10th, my investigation report was submitted by the trooper last Wednesday (July 18th). So hopefully if they start with people who applied pre stay it will be soon.

Coincidentally today is my pick up day for my new G27 Gen4! :D

Did anyone win the pool for when Judge Legg would publish his decision?
After reading the entire memorandum,I have to admit, it was worth the wait.

It's now up on the Washington comPost:

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/local...-in-maryland/2012/07/24/gJQAP6fB7W_story.html

    Edit:

And now in the Sun too: http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/ma...nd-gun-carry-permits-20120724,0,7660075.story

At least the Sun put a little more meat into their article than simply reposting an AP article, like the comPost did.
Wow. They can't even rep[ort it correctly in a short article. They said Marylanders will be able to carry in 14 days. Left out the fact that you still have to apply for and receive a permit. I'm sure there are some antis shaking in their boots reading that!

IF 4th Circuit, excuse me... Circus .. doesnt issue an emergency stay (which there is a 99.9% chance that they will) then you can get a permit. somehow... i dont trust the most overturned appeals court in the nation.

Care to elaborate? Why so sure? Thought 4th circuit was 2a friendly based on recent rulings.

In the light of the description of the cooperation MSP has given to Maryland Shall Issue, we should all take a moment to thank MSP for its conduct in the stay period.

While anything is possible, the burden the state must meet for CA4 to implement a stay is pretty darn high. To be specific, they must proof Judge Legg abused his discretion in the matter. Given the extremely well reasoned nature of his opinion denying the stay request, even the most optimistic person defending MD's position would acknowledge it's an uphill climb. As for CA4 being the most overturned appeals court in the nation, I believe you meant CA9 on the west coast.
