The bill is moot thanks to Woollard. There is literally no good that can come from HB45 in my opinion.
HB-45 WILL MOOT WOOLLARD if passed.

cant be that quick.. still need to do the background checks..
Count on AT LEAST 4 months. I bet longer with the number of people who will be applying
Question: The application pg 13 says: State of Maryland County of __________ but I am getting this notarized out of state, should I simply have the notary cross out Maryland and write the applicable state?
took a brief look.. seems its only one page you have to fill out..
I pre-filled mine today, and was amazed at how stilted the forms were to "business" need and away from personal.
For the pages that don't apply, what to do? I'm thinking a header of "PERSONAL REQUEST - PAGE NOT APPLICABLE" or some such??
If we collectively think flooding the system will have a real effect, I'll pop for it and get things in order.
Waiting for the wisdom of MSI............

In response to everyone asking whether to file for permits to carry. YES! Everyone who has applied and is waiting call or write and ask that the permit be expedited and granted per Judge Legg's decision. If you cc: me copies of your letters and requests I can track them and be able to put pressure on the State Police to ensure compliance with the court's decision. It is true the court could stay the order until the appeal is heard but until that happens, if it ever does, the order is in place. Let's show the State the extent of it's citizens' desire for the right to exercise their inalienable rights to self defense through an uninfringed right to carry."

So, are the sponsors pulling the bill then??
I'm confused, I assumed the Legg decision was better, and trumped any bill (if upheld)
Mine opinion too, But Del Smigiel is calling for people to light up the switchboards at the house committee on his facebook.
Wondering what MSI's official stance is?
If MSI says drop HB45, i need some more help over on Delegates Smigiel, Dwyer, and McDermotts facebook pages.
So whats the official position on HB45? Drop it?
I don't know if it has already been covered, I'm sure it has but I'm not looking throu all these pages to see, so I'll ask. Anyone know where to get the passport photos taken at?
I'm gonna print an application off and start filling it out.

Just an update that I thought I would share, the phone calls in support of HB-45 are coming into Judiciary one about every three minutes. The secretary has about six pages phone calls. When I walked by all she did was look up and while smiling said,
"winning!"

PEOPLE, READ THE EFFIN APPLICATION! It needs to be mailed, no other way is accepted.
I can smack my own peepee, thanks...
When I hear people talking about HANDING it in at MSP, it becomes a confusing issue.
