    No, that pot metal POS will not perform the same, or stay as sharp as a Spyderco.

    OP, you should definitely buy a sprint run Spyderco.

    I had an opportunity to buy od and black waved endura 4 that was a sprint run for bayou shooters. Didn't do it and I still have trouble sleeping. Buy the knife!

    Add the cost of a large pizza to that, and you could have a really nice knife instead.

    Sometimes the extras make a difference, even if the end result is the same. Contemplate the difference between a handful of KY and an evening with, say, Kate Upton.

    I think all "expensive" knives are overpriced, but the market seems to bare it. I have a Lion Steel folder that cost me a prerty penny, but it's a beast and I enjoy it. If you want it and have the means, go for it.

    That's more than I can spend on a pocket knife now that I'm retired (too hard to hide the expenditure from the wife) but if you've got it, take the plunge!
