where did you get a pvs14 for half price?

Thats about the going rate for used older units or new units using blem aviation tubes or used units from motivated sellers that did not overpay when it was new.

You can buy a new blem pvs14 for $2300 with a warranty right now, from a known seller. Just because some retailers charge $3000 or more doesnt mean thats the going rate.

If you know how to hunt for deals, you can build one even cheaper.

gen I was junk ime. Traded a pistol for a brand new one. I mounted it to my ar, got it all set up. It would shut off after the first shot. I would have to remove the battery to reset it and get it to turn back on...

Like i said, the first gens had hardware and software problems. ATN stepped up their game a bit to provide halfway decent customer service for these, versus their former practices of being the worst in the industry.

So I'm gonna need an IR flashlight as well or is it just a nice to have? It looks like the Gen I came with an IR light mounted to the scope but the Gen II doesn't.

    Both require IR illumination.

Everyone is going to lose their minds when they find out how these newest gen pulsar and flir $2000 thermals perform. Pulsar trail, flir pts, flir q-14b ...

Mine came with the flashlight mounted.
I have not mounted mine to the bolt gun. I'm to understand it is a bit tall.
