    The group i supervise is looking to hire three programmers. one position is for a very experienced developer and the other two are a step above entry level. Most of the work is done in python, but a good bit in VBA as well.

    Here is the req for the level 2 position. The level 4 is similar just with more experience.

    Job Description Provide technical support to the National Aeronautical Navigation Services (AeroNav Products) Group in maintaining critical office operations to aid in the development and maintenance of the National Airspace System (NAS). In addition, support is needed to assist AeroNav Products in its mission to automate the creation, maintenance, and distribution of aeronautical data, charts, and associated products for air traffic control and the aviation community. Effective coordination is required between numerous government offices, air traffic control, and the aviation community to ensure success. Primary support will be to the FAA's Airport & Terminal Products Group.
    Basic Qualifications * Bachelors degree with 3 years of related experience or equivalent experience/combined education

    * Experience with Mapping, Cartography, Geography, Air Traffic Control, Aeronautical Information Management or Geodesy/Surveying.

    * Experience in the use of Microstation CAD software.

    * Solid experience with Visual Basic for Applications

    * Solid experience with Python

    * Current knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server
    Desired skills * Previous experience with FAA's compilation of aeronautical charts.

    * Pilot/Aviation experience highly desirable.

    * Experience in the use of ESRI Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software

    * Extensive hands-on experience in the following development environments: ArcPy 10.1, Visual Studio, PyWin, Komodo
