A place to discuss Cowboy Action Shooting, SASS events, the gear and the clothes.
Gun pictures appreciated. Feet should have boots on.

with a lot of information, including the Maryland Championship in June.

Anne Arundel Fish & Game sponsors a monthly match on the third Saturday that follows all SASS rules, but is not SASS-sanctioned. (This is where I shoot when I'm not nursing a bum arm or attending to other business.)
The Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) is the granddaddy of Cowboy Shooting. Their webpage is at http://www.sassnet.com/
The big debate right now is over the costume aspect. Yes, it is a part of the game. (But we're very forgiving of newbies.) Should blue jeans be allowed? This is the big question.
I love the old school guns like the ones you guys have shown. However, I do have a request. If you would be so kind as to give a description of what you have in the pictures, it would be greatly appreciated. I can identify most modern firearms, but with cowboy action, I have virtually zero knowledge. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this boat that wants to learn, and your descriptions will help me/us learn more about these fine arms. Thanks.

Being a native American, I was very misled and disappointed by the title of this thread.
