Hello to all. I am a new member, some time reader. Lots of good info on here. I have been into guns to a varying degree since...pretty much forever. I recently bought a couple of rifles and plan to expand on that significantly. And, yes I know that I need to invest in a camera and post some pics.
My guns:
--Remington 597 .22LR with a plastic stock and Bushnell scope.
--1943 Turkish Mauser 8mm
Future plans:
My C&R payment was accepted by the ATF a week ago. Once that comes through I plan on my first purchases being CZ82 and P64 pistols. I've shot the CZ before, and man what a great gun - especially for the money. I handled a P64 at a gun show and it definitely piqued my curiosity, plus it uses the same ammo as the CZ.
After that, I'm not quite sure how I have lived so long without an AK. I think I might just have to have one. I could really use a shotgun(870 or 1187 probably) since I go trap shooting pretty regularly, but my dad and friends have tons of shotguns that they graciously let me borrow.
The list of guns that I want is impossibly long, but a little bit down the road I will probably be looking at some or all of the following:
-CETME/G3 rifle
-FN-FAL
-1911
-Beretta 92
-S&W 5906
-A .357 revolver, currently leaning to a stainless S&W
-Browning Hi-power or variants thereof
-MAC-10 and variants (full auto version to come when financially viable)
-SKS - good C&R rifle, uses AK ammo
-Probably another bolt action or two. Maybe another Mauser or one of those Swiss K31s.
Other interests:
Long walks on the beach
Hating on the .40 cal (I'm just kidding...but not really)
Fast cars/racing
Boating
Ravens football
Proper use of the English language
Funny movies, TV shows, etc.
In advance I would like to thank all of the MDS members for all of the great local intel. It is nice to see so many like-minded individuals in a state that isn't the most gun-friendly in the union.
